Im going to work on fishing deep with my electronics, fishing more swimbaits.

Really appreciate all of the help and I will definitely bring a lot of this info to the club! We are just starting to get things organized and hope to have a lot done by the time we are done with winter break. Like you stated raising funds isn't easy and luckily we have made a few contacts where we are going to be able to make some money for the club! Thank you for your help, it will go a long way!!!

Thats another good point, I fish with my neighbor a little to and he has a Power Pole and when I have been with him we have never used it and we probably could of but just didn't really think of it at the moment, so its starting to be clearer which I would be using more!!!

Thats the thing the electronics are out of date and a lot of the lakes I fish aren't very deep and I would love a Talon when Im flipping docks/brush etc. But I will be fishing a lot of new lakes this year also, the electronics will help me for both new and old lakes too. So really both benefit me, but as of now Im leaning towards new electronics!!

I kind of have a good problem going but want to get everyone's thoughts....I will either be buying an (8ft Minn Kota Talon) or both (Lowrance Elite 7x HDI) and ( (Lowrance 5x HDI)....So the real question is should I upgrade the electronics or buy a Talon and yes I have made up my mind on a Talon and not a Power Pole and Lowrance and not Humminbird haha Thanks

I know I keep trying to think of different things to do but easier said than done!! I just try to keep everything separated that I need to fix or tune without it getting to messy.

I'll go duck hunting as much as I can and wish I was out on the lake fishing the whole time...

With the year winding down for some of us I usually take all of my stuff to my basement and have my own little table that I use to tinker with my stuff year round. My question is what type of organizing tools or techniques does everyone us to stay organized a little, because that seems to be a problem for me haha! I have the peg boards from some department stores that hold some packs up on the wall but what else might you recommend?? Thanks

I have some oakleys I use but also have a pair of the Strike King S11's and they are awesome for the price!!!

Thats another thing i didn't know if it had the GPS or not because on Tackle Warehouse it didn't say or is that just the one a step above it?

Anybody have any reviews for this, been debating whether or not to get it seems like a nice unit for the price and size, but haven't heard any pros or cons about it.

Haven't had any heated conversations yet, but recently at a tournament I pulled up to a spot and was working a weed line by this buoy and was just drifting along, when another boat pulls about 10-15 yards in front of me, where I am headed doesn't say anything and I didn't say anything, caught three nice fish in about 5 minutes and stays right in front of me...

I just fish it like a spinnerbait, put a nice swimbait as the trailer on it and it works great!! It doesn't go through grass as good as a spinnerbait but I like its action!!!

I wish it was fall around here was out today and fishing is still slow.

I have a few of the Griffons and even though they don't have the adjustable bill if they are half as good as those then I will definitely be picking up a few!!!

Anyone know a place to buy a Talon and the universal mount for a good price, I have seen some on ebay that were a little cheaper, I don't care if its used or what length just trying to see if anyone has had luck getting them for a good price. I don't really want a Power Pole but unless you know where some cheaper ones are let me know. Have fished we guys that have Talons or Power Poles and now I really want one and I see now where I would be using it and it would be just about every where I fish!!! Thanks!

Ya I can see that, just was curious if there was a certin reason, but I guess if they're hungry they're hungry!!!

I bet some other people have seen this but this past summer while fishing a tournament I saw probably a 3lb smallie dead floating in the water with about a 2lb'er in his mouth also dead. Can anyone tell me what might of possessed that fish to eat another of his kind, I understand survival of the fittest but anyone have an idea as to why it might of done this??

Mine does that but only at like 70 or so, I can't seem to seem to find the problem either!!!

Ya that happens a lot for me little bluegills and perch go at it, at least it keeps you on your toes!!

For me they're both great options, Trokars are a lot sharper but a little more expensive, I just buy the cheapest one at the time I'm buying so mainly Gamakatsus! Hope that helps.
