  1. The Ol monster is bigger and has a larger profile than the Mag 2. The Mag 2 says its 9 inches but in person it seems more like 7" compared to the Ol Monster IMO
  2. I had it happen one time and that one time was enough for me. Now no matter what if I catch a fish on a treble hook I grab him by the belly and remove the hook with pliers, even if he is barely hooked.
  3. Bladed Jig, Bladed Jig, and Bladed Jig. Did I mention Bladed Jig? But seriously this is one of my favorite baits ever. It excels around grass and seems to entice the bigger fish.
  4. I agree I'm tired of the rain. It's not the rain that keeps me home its the lightning.
  5. 6th Sense Crush Flat 75x in Gizzard Shad is my favorite crankbait and color all time.
  6. For a topwater bait I would use some owner st-36
  7. The Livingston BV Viper and Venoms are some of the coolest swimbaits I've ever seen.
  8. I love Shimano but that reel does not look very pretty lol......
  9. The Blade/Knife Monkey...
  10. It's very possible that it got damaged and weakened if you were using it for a few days.
  11. A 3.5 inch tube with a 3/16oz tube jig head. I still think fishing a tube is boring.
  12. Plastics: I have a lot of different colors because I use a lot of different companies that offer different colors. If I could only have a select few it would be green pumpkin, watermelon, black and blue ,junebug, plum apple, and white Crankbaits: It really depends on the company. My favorites are American Shad (LC), Chartreuse (company doesn't matter), sexy shad (company doesn't matter), and gizzard shad (6th sense) Jigs: Black and Blue, Green Pumpkin, and Brown. Jerkbaits: Don't even get me started......... Lipless Cranks: Blue Chrome and some sort of Red Craw color
  13. I'm a big Matt Allen fan. I find a lot of his information outstanding. He has a website and a youtube channel dedicated to helping people catch more bigger fish. Some of the stuff I throw a lot of now I've found through him. The one thing I just can't seem to do that he is a big advocate of is using all braid. I use it on a few set ups but I just can't seem to like it as much as FC. I know he throws swimbaits like 8" hudds on 80lb braid with a leader.
  14. Just have to keep on trying. Try putting a 4" roboworm wacky rigged on a finesse jig. It's very different that the fish most likely haven't seen. Like others have said if you feel like you can't do anything to get bit due to pressure find another place to fish.
  15. Yozuri isn't a fluorocarbon it's a copolymer. And compared to other copolymers (CXX, Izorline, Mccoy) it is priced very similar.
  16. Jon G replied to Romero131's topic in Fishing Tackle
Trick Worms, Roboworms, Rage Craws, ect
  17. Try throwing some finesse stuff. Senkos, Roboworms on shakey heads, ect may get you some extra bites Just be different. A lot of fish on pressured body's of water see the same things over and over every day.
  18. I think I will once I start running low on some D&Ms, I almost cleaned TW up once I heard they were being discontinued. So currently I'm not in any need of any bladed jigs. But who knows I may crack lol
  19. I also think your line was digging in. Just start peeling some line off until you feel the dig in "come free"
  20. Dang Blue I'm going to need to contact you when I run low on bladed jigs (still have a 3700 plano stuffed with D&M) those look great. Is that a trokar hook I see on a couple of those?
  21. I'm not sure where you can buy yozuri in-store. For a cutting tool I highly recommend the boomerang snips
  22. 20 will work but I prefer 10-15lb
  23. You wont cast as far, you will get a lot of line twists, and the line will be hard to manage all together.
  24. On a spinning rod I would use 10-15lb Sufix 832 braid with a 6-8lb FC Sniper leader
  25. Why are you scared of braid?
