  1. Depends on the bait. Some come with great hooks others not so much...
  2. If they are jumping they are creating slack in your line which makes it easy for them to spit the hook. If you feel them about to jump keep the rod tip down and start wrenching them in
  3. best answer you will get.
  4. I haven't played with it wacky yet (I hate fishing wacky) but Texas rig wise, I want to say it falls maybe a hair slower (haven't fished a GY Senko in a while) It has the same durability as a GY senko though. I don't know but I really like it it has a tad more action than they GY as well. My favorite color is Cinnamon Purple Fleck
  5. Well the past two weeks I have been using the Havoc Flat Dawg. It's definitely not the same as a senko but it is becoming my new favorite stick bait style of worm.
  6. bladed jigs for sure.
  7. nope. I just buy hooks in bulk and I'm running low and I need to restock and thought this might be a way to save a few bucks.
  8. I highly doubt it. If they are willing to eat a plastic bait that smells so strongly of plastic I doubt they care about the smell of a sharpie.
  9. Lately I've been putting red hooks in front of my hardbaits and I thought of putting red nail polish on the front trebles instead of paying extra for a pack of red hooks. I like to think I'm on to something but I have concerns that on baits like topwaters and jerkbaits that the nail polish will create extra weight on the hook causing the bait to sink. Anybody else do something like this?
  10. A rod is more important. Reels are more fun to buy and play with but the rods the most important part.
  11. Yamamoto 5" DT Grub
  12. That's why I stopped using it as well. It wastes a lot of a line and is a pain to tie in low light conditions such as early in the morning. To be honest I think the SDJ is stronger than the Palomar (even on mono). My cranking rods have mono and I can break one off with a palomar with not a whole lot of effort but I actually struggle with a SDJ
  13. Hard to beat a St. Croix Avid for that price. Its pretty easy to find a new Dobyns Champion in the $200-230 price range.
  14. Well I can't comment on gliss but for braid I either tie a Uni or SDJ
  15. I'm to stubborn to change tactics.
  16. Some people are just rude and have no consideration for anyone but themselves. I've noticed the majority of fisherman who do stuff like trolling over a spot someone is fishing generally don't know what they are doing and just get excited when they see someone catching a fish so they feel like they need to go that exact spot because it is the only area where fish are. It's sort of like a little kid in a candy shop/toy store.

  18. It is very tempting and I think I may break down for $90. I wonder if they will have the old Legend Elites in the Bargain Room once the new ones are for sale
  19. I took a day off from fishing one day and decided to go to spots I could access on foot to look for craws to find out what they look like in my area. The ones in my area are a blackish/brown with orange. I still throw a Green Pumpkin Jig but I color the tips of my trailers orange with a Spike-it marker.
  20. yeah I will stick to the Owner St36 then.
  21. Have you found a size that you like for jerkbaits, like a 100 sized LC Pointer. I love these hooks but I haven't found a size that doesn't hinder the suspension of Jerkbaits.
  22. I've actually have been wanting to try this line for a while. I may pick up a spool whenever I make a TW order. I will say Izorline XXX is pretty good stuff. I like Mono and Copolys for treble hook baits and fluoro for everything else and 15lb Izorline XXX is my go to line for squarebills and lipless cranks
