I cannot believe it UPDATE
Cabelas IM service kicks az. I hate having to call customer service. Turns out my order shipped out this morning, but they typically delay the shipment email until it has time to make it to the hub and be scanned. So cabelas still owns BPS.

Given the quality of your fish, I am guessing that it is a #20 parachute adams ;D

I cannot believe it UPDATE
LOL. Sweet irony. BPS order shipped the next day, showed up on time, and had everything I ordered in perfect condition. So last night, I ordered a new set of waders from Cabelas. I have always liked Cabelas. Not the best prices, but fast shipping and great customer service. Their site states that "ALL ORDERS PLACED BEFORE 9PM CENTRAL TIME SHIP THE NEXT DAY". I ordered around 6PM central time yesterday. As of yet, no shipping info. ;D

"Match the hatch" vs "Show them something new"
Nothing. That time of year, in the 2 places I fish those baits, there havent been trout for months, and shad are not a consideration. I think this time of year they are taking whatever they can get. I fish those big worms because 1: It is dark outside 2: Both lakes have terrible visibility 3: It is slow moving along the bottom 4: They are cheap enough that I can afford to fish them as slowly and deliberately through the rocks and wood as I want without snagging an expensive swimbait.

"Match the hatch" vs "Show them something new"
If I know what the fish I am looking for are eating, i mimick it as closely as possible. Most importantly its size, placement in the water column, and then color in that order.

your wildest animal encounter while fishing....
Scariest: When I went to Alaska the first time, we drove 6 hours inland from Anchorage to Glenallen. We had some family friends there. Our friend Jeff owned a whitewater raft for fishing. We drove 16 miles up a 4 wheel drive road ( about 2 hours) and he paid his neighbors son to drive the truck back while we floated the 12 miles down the river and fished for Kings. At this one particular hole, I jump out in my waders and fish this chute adjacent to this big sand bar. For about 30 minutes I fished there with this nagging "someone is watching me" feeling. No fish, so we floated on down the river. We made the same float the very next day. When we got back to that sand bar, I went back towards where I had fished the day before. I see my tracks in the sand from the day before. About halfway to where I was standing the day before, a huge set of brown bear tracks show up, one of them was right over the top of one of my wader tracks, completely obscuring my size 13 boot print. The bear tracks led right to where i stood the day before, then looked like it milled around, leaving a bunch of tracks, then headed back along her trail that led out to the sand bar. Her tracks took me to a stand of trees not 30 yards away. I called Jeff ( and his .454 Casull ) over to help me investigate. After making a bunch of noise we walked about 20 feet into the brush were we found the bed she had most likely been laying in watching me the day before. Talk about feeling like a toddler in the big kids playground, lol. Coolest: Despite growing up in Colorado and spending a bunch of time in the hills in my life, I had never seen a bobcat in the wild. About 2 years ago, I was fishing alone in my boat at my local dink factory nestled in a deep oak lined canyon. This lake has tulies completely around its shore line. As I was slowly t-motoring down the bank, I kept hearing rustling in the tulies. Now, noises in the tulies are plenty common here. Usually a squirell getting a drink or a blackbird or something. What was strange about this rustling, was the fact that it was keeping perfect pace with me. After about 100 yards of this, I finally caught sight of the unmistakable pattern of a wildcat. At this point I wasnt sure that it was a bobcat and not a juvenile mountain lion. It followed me mostly obscured for at least 200 yards when it finally came to a big rock ledge that broke up the tulies. It stepped right out, onto the ledge about 30 feet away from me and just hung out there for about 10 minutes. It licked its fur, sunbathed, and stalked what I assume was a lizard. REALLY COOL!. I didnt have my digital that day, so I burnt an entire roll of disposable on it, but they came out really crappy.

Miracle lens repair?
I just got back from the river and I found a pair of Oakley Monster Dogs, with polarized lenses. SWEEEEET! Rplacement polarized lenses are $80 and the frame is acceptable at best, sooooo. Has anyone had any experience with the various lens repair products? Do you have a special method or anything. The lenses are pretty much unusable now. So I'm up for anything that might work. Just dont know if it is worth it to buy a new set of lenses given that I already have a pair of Costa Del Mars with 3 sets of lenses. Ideas?

I cannot believe it UPDATE
I have long since boycotted BPS, but I occasionally receive gift cards for my birthday or Christmas. For the third time I tried to get a cash reimbursement out of them, and of course was denied. I proceeded to list the ways in which BPS was garbage. In reply to their thanks for my business, I offered the courtesy of informing them that if I had my way, they would never have my business. So after all of that, I placed an order yesterday. . . It shipped today! I'm shocked, to me this is the equivalent of seeing monkeys use tools for the first time. Now lets see if everything is actually in the box ;D
