Because a sunfish is considered a gamefish. In the state of California, you may not use a gamefish for bait in freshwater, except for the Sacramento River Delta. Shad arent gamefish. What chemicals? You need to cycle your tank first. You can do it with a goldfish. There are also products available that will cycle a tank in 24-48 hours. Like Bio-Spira. Putting fish in a tank that does not have a functioning nitrogen cycle will often kill them. Dont put fish in your tank if they will outgrow it. How many gallons?

I dont really use them. I have a bluegill and the 12" snap on. I mutilated the bluegill trying out a mod. The 12" gets fished some. Very poorly built bait though. Wish i could find an original hard head 12" of any color. My favorite super glue is hobby store superglue. There are many different varieties, I use super thin cyanoacrylate for some things, and the thicker cyanoacrylate for stuff like this. It isnt high performance or anything, but 1oz costs 5.99 as opposed to the .13oz ones for $2. Pros Soft Bait Glue is an overpriced joke. For repairing soft plastics (ie not gluing them to something) I use 3:16's "glue" which does nothing more than weld the plastic back together and leave it supple.

THere is a clear piece of rigid plastic about 1/16" thick attached to the soft tail. I dont see this in your pic, however. To remove this, you would pull towards the tail on a small tab on the belly, then lift the whole tail up. It is a crappy system IMO. I remove the clear hard plastic and glue the soft part directly to the head with super glue. I know that it says it is, but that doesnt look like a snap on bait to me, it looks like the old glue on hard head.

A simple way to look at it: It is 1/48 of real life in EXTERNAL DIMENSIONS. Meaning that if a F/18 had a 48 ft wingspan, a 1/48 model would have a 1 ft wingspan. It is NOT 1/48 of an F/18's VOLUME, which would be neccesary when figuring out "how much gold it is made of".

Just saying, dont always be so sure about something. I would have thought the same thing about the line slicing up your hands, but it didnt. I did get a bloody nose from when the top of the rod smacked it when it broke, so much for the red S, lol. I didnt get that rod replaced, BTW, ;D lol

I handlined a 11lb4oz bass using 65lb Sufix braid. No cuts. Rod also broke at the handle when I set the hook. Straight braid, a buttoned drag and a fish that big, if you really lean into her, somethings gotta give.
