I agree man. I know its a strong enough statement that I wont even argue it very thoroughly. As long as the opposition uses a modicum of TACT, lol. Jordan was cut from his high school team freshaman (soph?) year, and was just barely getting started in the NBA at lebrons age. James has his speed, ball handling, shooting and passing skills, and is much stronger. I know its a long shot statement. But I really feel that when all is said and done, they will be at least equally revered. Also, James was a senior the same year I was, and I remember watching him on TV and thinking that I could be one of those poor saps that had to try and stop him when he cut to the hole. Probably has something to do with how much I think of him.
  2. No joke! I can't imagine how much a "real" operation has locked up in materials and tooling. I'm still over a grand in the hole. But that is fine by me. I get to create stuff that no one can have, unless I want them to. Just the freedom to have any color I want, on any hardbait makes it worthwhile. I remember the days of hunting ebay for months trying to find that NIB 10" TT in light trout. Then pay twice retail! Forget that, now its, find one that is beat to a pulp, in any color, for 50 bucks. Then with a little bondo and a couple hours, i have the exact color i want in new condition, lol.

    a@#hole.
  5. I estimate the cost of materials on my 8" bait at around $4.50 including hooks. Labor is between 1.5 and 2 hours depending upon complexity of the paint job. I've been working on a new bait where material costs will be over $12.

X2 on the boring NBA. NCAA DIV I is the best, most pure, and entertaining level of basketball. Oden's a stud. NBAA has sucked since the mid 90's. LeBron WILL be a better player than Jordan. Kobe sucks. Kobe sucks. Kobe sucks.
  7. Catching LM over 10, Smallies over 5, Stripers over 20, Brown Trout over 7, Steelhead over 10. Pretty good little off season I have planned.
  8. Yeah, it was pretty rough. I have been feeling pretty under the weather lately. Got 3 hours of sleep, hiked 6 miles. Wind was so strong it took my hardest kicking just to maintain position for most of the day. You would get these 5 minute breaks in the wind that you could actually maneuver in. Couldnt even fly fish unless i just used a nymph/indicator and let it just drift downwind. So I threw a spinning rod for most of the day. 1 fish in 5 hours. Said screw it, went to the bank to get warm, and take a nap. Slept for about 45 minutes. Didnt catch anything for an hour and a half. We decided to call it a day, and just as i was getting to the take out area. I caught a cutty around 17. So we hung around for another hour and caught probably 6 or 7 between us. That helped make the day better. Big fish was a 21" cutt for me.
  9. Maybe, just plain, "HIDE!"
  10. You need to start putting in 8 hours with that bait over the course of a day. When you are first starting out, it isnt a good idea to swimbait for a half hour here, half hour there. Pick 1 or 2 baits and throw them all trip every trip until you start getting fish.
  11. Well at least you dont have to deal with that nasty third problem Tin.
  12. Commonly referred to as the Keebler effect ;D
  13. Yeah burley, you could do what lbh does and just take a 9"er and call it 15, lol
  14. and pacas are half the price too.

  16. You should try the Netbait Paca Toad. I use their craw and chunk and they are awesome. You don't get your pants pulled down over the price like with the Rage stuff either. The toads also make a SICK big jig trailer. http://www.***.com/descpageFROGNETBAIT-NBPT.html
  17. not at all. this bait has no action imo.you just crawl it painfully slow. that is why i use a fottball head typically, because you can rig it so that it moves tail first and fish it faster by hopping.
  18. Screw that size 4-6 nonsense Just use a size 1-1/0 owner mosquito or comparable
  19. Thanks guys! Jared, I'm really hoping to avoid fly tying. Last thing I need is some other craft to spend money on equipment and materials, lol. For now I'm ordering flies for crazy cheap online. like .27 cents for little midges and stuff to $1.40 for big tricked out bass flies that i see go for like $7 everywhere else. quality seems pretty high too.
  20. Good for you dude.
  21. No problem bud.
  22. Hook a splitshot/dropshot hook through the wire, point up. I prefer to remove the weights and run them on a 1/4-3/8 oz jighead. Football head.
  23. So, I guess its safe to say, that he's not gonna come clean... READ REPLY NUMBER 4
  24. Catt, and i dont mean this sarcastically, but can you provide any reading done by fisheries biologists that contradict the "let them live" group? Also, there is much more evidence that the earth is indeed 4.5billion years old, than there is that it is 6,000. :-X I'm all about evidence and fact.
