  1. You guys should try using a small wire wheel on your dremel tool to remove the epoxy from your eyelets. It works EXTREMELY well, gets every little bit of paint and epoxy off and gives them a nice shine too. I tried a few different methods when i first started with epoxy and this by far is the best.
  2. x2 on the svideo cable Having owned most every console under the sun and being a huge playstation fan ( waited in line for 12 hours for the PS2 launch) i would avoid the PS3. Other than than MGS4 and Gran Turismo, i dont see a reason to buy one. Too dang expensive and not nearly the quality of games that XBOX360 has, and remember i was a true PS loyalist. BUUUUT Metal Gear and Gran Turismo are almost worth buying a PS3 for, lol.
  3. Really like your selection! My main girls are a Beretta 390 Gold and a Beretta 682. Have close to a dozen others but they are all ho hums. 870's, 1100s, Model 12's, etc Haven't shot competitively for almost 5 years. My last league I finished with 91.3 average. Highest round ever-94 ( i think it was actually 95, i think i clipped one of the misses)
  4. Also worth checking out is Advanced Taxidermy out of Canada. With my mother being a wildlife artist (one of the best in the world) I have seen more outdoor art in my lifetime than anybody really should, lol. But when I came across their booth I was absolutely and fully amazed by what they do. When I get my 15 plus I'm gonna sell a kidney and have them do it for me ;D
  5. If you were any closer I'd have to school you with my 28 gauge on the dove field. I've been hunting since I was 4 years old and I consistently shoot Trap, Skeet and Sporting clays, so shooting ability is not a factor. I feel bad using the 12 gauge on anything smaller than a mottled duck, but since my duck buddies carry 12g into the blind I want to make sure I have the same ammo in case of a gun malfunction. If you read on how I phrased the post I was only asking duck hunters how they felt about the price difference and whether it was justified or not. For example I can knock'em dead with a Kent's Faststeel (Cheap, but good stuff), but when I or my partner has cripple and Donald is getting away its nice to know that the denser stuff can take them out at longer distances. Thus, the quandary. Its all good catt, if he outshoots you, i'll take him on the sporting clays course
  6. Why trutungsten? Listen to Burley. Tungsten cuts right through braid. Tru Tungsten uses a very nice coating to protect your line. The plastic inserts in cheaper tungsten weights can fall out, allowing the tungsten weight to cut the braid Inserts=bad I've tried them all over the last year. Tru-Tungsten is the only manufacturer who makes a high quality tungsten weight. I've yet to use a weight with an insert where the insert doesn't slide out after a day of fishing. Braid+insert=FAIL
  7. Nice Matt! I can't imagine a 12lb average! All of mine have been fun fishing with a partner too 47lbs10.5ozs: 13-1, 11-8, 8-2, 8-1.5, 6-14. Also lost a fish that would have easily put us over 50lbs 42lbs8ozs 41lbs15ozs I also had a day where my personal top ten was over 65lbs. That was fun!
  8. Bass! SHMARTY PANTS! Largemouth, Spotted, Smallmouth. Before you start chucking out salty bass too
  9. A little bored. What is your biggest 5 fish bag you have ever had? Fun fishing, tournament, with a partner, or by yourself, doesnt matter. I've been lucky enough to have some good ones, but figured there are some guys on here that have probably had some gigantic sacks! just curious!
  10. I've said it before bud, but that is a good lookin dog!
  11. My dad asked me what kind of class ring i wanted. I told him a Beretta 390 Gold would be fine. We split the cost. Best class ring you could ask for.
  12. I've been known to use them from time to time
  13. 6 is incredibly tough The Big Lebowski Monty Python and the Holy Grail Office Space Tombstone Scarface
  14. Ruger AKC Black Lab. Got her when I was 15. Parents were going through an ugly divorce. She was my little homie. Waited forever too. Called the breeders, they had just bred their best female with an awesome bird dog I had actually hunted with. So after waiting another 5 weeks. I had decided to get the biggest male they had and had already picked the name Ruger , a nice burly, manly bird dog name. Showed up at the breeders and they let the pups out of the pen into the back yard. I sat down about 20ft away and was just gonna watch them for awhile when the biggest pup of the bunch came waddling up and climbed into my lap. Licking me and basically being adorable. "I'll take him!" ........ wrong kinda plumbing, it was a girl. But it was too late, I was already sold on her and her manly name. Been my best friend ever since. Sorry, long story.
  15. My guess would be that the fish were suspending at that level. The 3ft higher is probably the depth they were suspending at so those fish were looking right at your bait and the ones in the middle were smacking it as it fell through them
  16. "Raining too much to fish"????? WTH? Thats the best time to be fishing right there. 40 degrees, shivering cold, line looks like a slinky, crawling a swimbait at .0004 MPH when all of a sudden........THDUNK! other than that peaseyX2 lmao
  17. Messing with Texans was half of fun during hunting season in Colorado. Of course, as soon as you got 100 yards away from the road, they seemed to dissapear ;D
  18. THE HISTORY CHANNEL, discovery, natgeo, and THE OFFICE! I also seem to find myself watching Cinemax late at night from time to time
  19. $0.06 jk i would spend anything to keep my idiotic old bird dog kickin as long as she would still have quality of life. Otherwise it woud have to be the above option.
  20. I've been meaning to do this on the Cal Delta for a couple years now. You may have just pushed me over the edge
  21. Just thought of something. When you guys get ahold of someone in the know, it might be in your best interest not to let them take it without speaking with a lawyer first.
  22. I can't imagine what else it would be if its that big and petrified. THAT IS FREAKING COOL!!!!!
  23. Wow, that fish looks WAAAAAAY bigger than 8-10 for some reason..... nice bud!
