Do the co-polymer lines (such as P-Line C-XX and C21) float like a mono ? Do they absorb water (eventually) like a mono or does their co-polymer construction prevent water from being absorbed into the line ?

Perhaps a good buy for leader material in a particular #lb. test you use often ?

True , promoting may be what the pros are doing versus actually using it ... In my research the Vicious FC is thicker per rated #lb. test versus Seaguar or Sunline . I may try the Vicious #6lb. test for shaky head fishing where I would normally consider a #8lb. test with Seaguar or Sunline and see how it performs after applying KVD Line Conditioner , not over fill my spinning reel and tie a careful knot .

For quite sometime I have seen consistent negative reviews of this FC line (unless using for leader material) . Reasons most often cited for negative reviews are : Poor manageability and low breaking strength for rated #lb. test ... Yet I see more and more pros opting to use Vicious FC line and notice it is being sold in more and more places . What gives ? ... Did Vicious improve the FC line formulation - or has Vicious FC line simply been getting a bad rap ?

With the newer mono lines being introduced ( Seaguar Senshi , Sunline Super Natural, Berkley Iron Silk or other) - have you switched your mono preference for top water applications OR have you elected to stay with the top water mono you previously / currently are using (Sufix Elite , Berkley Big Game , Triline XL , Stren , or other ?

Thanks for the Ima Roumba write up Crankinstein - I have heard too many good things about this bait not to consider one for the future . Alas , a wide wobble ,shallow crank bait only has through the Fall (water temp above 60 degrees F.) before bass wil turn off from such a wide wobble , noisy bait in favor of a tighter wiggle, lipless crankbait without the need for rattles inside .

For a #2500 series spinning reel : #8lb. Tatsu , InvizX , Sunline and FC Sniper ... For Berkley , Sufix , P-Line , BPS , I'd say their #6lb. is on par diameter size wise to the aforementioned #8lb. FC lines . While you can fill up mono to about 1/8th inch from the spool lip - with FC make that about 3/16th inch from the spool lip (or more) to avoid the "slinky" effect !

I've heard good things about the IMA Roumba - but is sure is a dumpy looking bait ! ... My beginners list is fairly modest with Bomber Shallow A , Mann's Minus -1's and a couple of BPS XPC offerings (Super Shallow Crank & The Egg - Large) to try out ... Trying to grab a few colors of each to handle prevailing conditions and try my hand at this technique . I like the fact that fishing a shallow wake crankbait does not require more than just a slow , steady retrieve or the same with an occasional pause in order to yield very good results .

flipin4bass : Thanks for sharing ... Both colors are nice - now appearing the chartreuse / black back is a staple ...The american shad appears to be a wonderful , intricate color which probably changes with the light .

Looking to purchase some wakebait / shallow crankbaits such as BPS The Egg , Mann's minus - 1 , Bomber Shallow A , etc. and unsure of colors to get . I fish in southern reservoirs where water color can generally range from stained to clear (depending on time of year , water run off , etc. ) ... I'm looking to get three to four colors to start and need help picking out what colors work best on LMB and spotted bass for conditions I listed ? I'm thinking that mostly a bass is going to see the bottom and sides mostly of a wakebait / shallow crankbait - below are colors for consideration : * Firetiger * Blue Back Chartreuse * Chrome Black Back * Chartreuse Black Back * Sexy Shad * Citrus Shad * Green Shad * Red Craw Lastly , I know red craw is great for spring time (not sure about other times of the year ) ... Thanks in advance for colors you feel are best for wakebait / shallow crankbait !

The 2.0 Veritas is supposed to be a different animal - designed to be stronger and with actions more true to their stated ratings (i.e. a "M" that acts like a "M" instead of a "M" that acts like a "MH" . One of the quickest ways to break a rod is high sticking on a hookset ...I'll let others chime in on this aspect of breaking a rod - but it is the #1 reason for rod breakage in my book !

More frequent inspection of the business end of your set up - this will rule out a frayed line , suspect knot , etc. then you will know if something with sharp teeth is to blame ... #50 Power Pro should be ideal for the technique you are using ...

Red hook is to simulate gill flash or bleeding , injured bait and often thought to give bass a target to key in on ...Usually comes more into play with crank baits where often a fisherman will change out the stock front treble hook to a red one ... Some have adopted the same technique for T-Rig worm hooks however it is probably less of an influence in a T-Rig application than for a crankbait / front treble hook application .

Grantman83 : A-Rig makes sense now ...Glad to hear the 2.0 is not as stiff as the previous versions ... Lastly - it would make things a bit more clear if Abu Garcia listed suggested techniques / applications for these new 2.0 rods .

I see TW just got in the new Sebile Action First Flat Belly Walker ... I saw this lure in a video from ICAST '14 - very unique top water and perhaps what could be the easiest walking bait available ...Nice color selection and priced right - I plan on trying ASAP in the 4.25" length .
