That's a personal thing. I just replace equipment if it offers something that I want. not because it is new.

I have 3 rods: 6'6" m-mf 6'10" mh-f 6'6" spinning I use the 6'10" mh-f 95% of the time. It works great for everything I do.

anyone using these baits and if so what are your observations? How is the sink rate? They say they weigh around 3/8 oz. Durability seems to be an issue from most of the reviews I have read. And what is your overall opinion on them. Thanks in advance.

Same here I just downsized and really slowed down. Good worm and Keitech Fats either still or real slow.
