Funny you mention that, I was at Dicks last Friday over in Rockaway in the Fishing section obviously. ( An 2 level store with one of the largest fishing sections I've seen besides BPS or CABELAS) Me and the fishing section sales assistant were talking about different lakes, ponds and reservoirs in the area, and how there are Lunkers just waiting to be had. To note the sales assistant knew what he was talking[] about when it came to bass fishing products also. Dicks also just started a contract with Duckett... shweet my next new rod.

So far I'm pulling 2 to 2 1/2 lbs regularly when I go out to the spots I fish, which is a good fish up here. What really drives me nuts is there are people fishing the same spots that are catching 4 to 6lbs and that's from the bank. Sooner or later I will be on one of those Lunkers. For me anything over 3 lbs is a Lunker.

I've had it for about 6 months, and I've haven't seen any issues. You can always bend them back if it happens.

What line do you use?

Wouldn't mono be a little too stretchy when ripping it thru the weeds?

Obviously a 7" H/F with braid isn't a good choice. I would get bit, but they would spit the hook once they jumped a little. One of my rods broke at home... good excuse to get a new one.

What type of line are you using?

Not much, but it's all I caught this weekend. Plus there were a few that spit the hook. Man, I've been on a dink tear lately. It's only gonna get tougher I think because it looks like the turn is starting to happen.

What Power and action rod do you use for Rattle Traps, and the like. I know its a treble bait, but isn't a Medium Moderate rod to soft to jerk these guys thru the weeds and grass?

There are 2 different weights for the Jitterbug?

What size do you guys use to replace the cheapos on the Jitter Bug or Poppen frog

Where do you guys place it on the fish to weigh it? I don't like to poke a hole through the lip so I put it under the gill plate where it meets the jaw where it can't catch the gills, but when I do this the fish alway starts bouncing around and flies of the hook and hits the ground which I hate to see. I'm thinking about using the Lip Grip, and hook the lanyard that way the fish will stay put.

Caught this guy yesterday evening at a new to me pond in like 15mns of getting there. My Jig hand has been on fire lately, but I'm only catching dinks, except for that 2lbr. Seems like these man made ponds don't have good size bass.

Yeah, he's hooked. He wants to go fishing everyday.

He'll be four in November. I already taught him to lip, one of the first things I taught him in fishing besides casting. I think he's ready for Siebert jigs, he started copying all of my jig cadences with his little Spiderman rod.

Yesterday we went out to some of the local ponds we haven't been to before, and see what they were carrying... According to the picture not much, but we had a good time.

Would be my first attempt at skipping jigs... sometimes it skipped and sometimes it just plopped in the right spot, but either way it worked.

Went with the fam to visit my cousin at the shore this weekend... Needles to say I didn't go to the beach to get a tan instead I covered up, and went to hunt for some ponds and lakes, and catch me some bucket mouths. Recieved gifts for my effort. Caught them both on Strike King 1/4 oz black blue Bittsy Bug one with the black and blue Rage Chunk, and the other on green Pumpkin Rage chunk. Then I lost it on the third hooks set, It looked like the knot had broke from being smacked a few times against the conrete trying to skip it. So theres probaply a Bass or something swimming around with a lovely lip piercing... Hope not though. The same fish nice 2lbr. The second one 5 minutes later. And the third one... Er, well we know what happened. Caught them both, and almost three under here. Its been awhile since Iv'e caught multiple fish in the same spot.

I use lip grips for any thing that has trebles attached to its maw.

The weather has been a little Coockoo lately, but Im catching some. Caught this guy on Saturday And this guy today on a KVD 1.5 Perch which I lost on some underwater Cb traps. He had some nasty sores on his tail and body. My son caught this massive Bluegill.
