  1. I can tell you this, I am a pro athlete, this summer I was fishing a tournament and the next morning I had to train, my shoulders were tottaly destroyed from casting a spinnerbait all day long, Hey I am not an out of shape dude, I am a pro athlete and it affected me that much! So yes it is a sport.
  2. Ok here is what the motor setup looks like... is this a jack plate? Is it ok?
  3. I fish where the fish has alot of pressure from other anglers, I think they know that trolling motor and noise = bad for them.
  4. To me it is more like Fish small, smaller lures, smaller weights, less vibrations. This is target the unactive, often bigger fish. Big Big fish didnt get thsi big for nothing they are smarter, they won't bite on spinnerbaits and crankbaits unless you are really getting a reaction strike because you surprised them and you really passed into their strike zone. Those big fish are looking for an easy meal, something they won't have to chase around. Lets put it this way. Some people might not like it but all humans, we all like easy meals, most of us don't like cooking for one hours to eat for 10 minutes, Drive-thru is an easy meal lets go to Mc Donalds's insteadé That exactly what fish do, they save energy by taking easy meals, and they get fat, just like us! lol
  5. We all know that spinnerbaits blades attracks bass, they can feel the vibrations with their lateral lines and they will come from far away to investigate. Now if they can feel a spinnerbait blade from far away, what does a 80pounds trust trolling motor ripping the water doing to them? Is is attracting them or spooking them?? The propeller certainly creates alot of vibrations under the water, I guess they can deal with it if they are in 12-20 feet, but what if you are fishing shallow?? If i am sitting in a quiet park with my wife having a picnic and an helicopter passes 20 foot over my head, good chances are that I will look up and be like "wassup?" Makes sense? I want your opinion
  6. Today in a windy day, I will go where I usualy find them in 8-10feet but I will let myself drift a little farther to 15-20 feet, Tube dragging , carolina rig and drop shot are on the menu, ill let you know if I found the bronzebacks!
  7. I understood i had to slow down, bu where to fish them? deep water? creeks?
  8. Ok, i live in Canada, i feel like the big feeding time is over for our bronzebacks, water temps is now about 45 Farenheits and i seems like they are way harder to find, I have been fishing in 6' of water to about 25 Foot', and all i catch is Walleye. Where they go after their big feeding period is over? Better tactics? Ive tried crankbaits, tube dragging and drop-shot. talk to me! Thank you!
  9. I will put some pictures soon guys thank you all for your help... I have no experience with bass boats, maybe the problem is seating behind the wheel lol....
  10. I trim it all the way for kick-off then as soon as i trim it up a little thing it starts to cavitate, I cant even put it straight with the boat.
  11. I don't have a jack plate
  12. just bought a 2000 nitro nx 882 DC and it is really great, but one problem I have is understanding the trim, I put it all the way down when I start and as soon as im on place im supposed to trim it up a little, but when I do so the boat starts to bouce around like im into big waves, but the water is flat lol. I look like a rapper into a 65 impala with hydraulics. What im i doing wrong?? Is it a propeller problem? Thank you guys!
  13. If I was to have only one of the two to have Side imaging should it be the console one or the Bow one?
  14. Just bought myself a Nitro NX 882 2000 18'2''. It has no electronics on it. I want to know what would be the best setup under 2500$, trolling motor mount and consol mount, Where should I put the best one with Side imaging? I cant afford two units with side imaging so... ? Humminbird? Lowrance? what do you guys think??
  15. Hey guys as the season here in the north is comming to an end very soon, im looking to buy my rods and reels for next year, maybe ill get some deals! I want to know what you guys are using and what exact brand I should get, im looking a reels around 150$ and rods around 100$ Give me your suggestions for those techniques: Spinnerbaits: Shakyhead: Tube dragging: For my spinnerbait I was thinking of a Veritas 7' MH casting rod matched with a Shimano Curado reel. Thank you.
  16. Good help Thank you guys, ill post back when after i tried everything you guys suggested!
  17. Carolina rig on rocky bottom or weeds is a wonder my friend! Try something like a 6-7'' worm on a C-rig.
  18. My most productive lure to find smallies is the Rat-L-Trap, they just can't resist it, but remember use it to find fish and then slow down using senkos, tubes...
  19. I really tought that the biggest weight I could use for drop shot was 1/2 ounce so I never tried heavier, my next step will be to try 2/4 weights and slow down the drift with the trolling motor, i think it might spook the fish, but my way isnt working anyways so... worth a try. Any other suggestions?
  20. I really dont know, maybe they just let it drag on the bottom, after all the weights make noise by hitting the rocks and it attracks the fish... I really dont know lol
  21. I live near the St-Lawrence River, its a good fishery, but water as an about 1 foot visibility and the current is always strong. I saw some guys on facebook pulling out 40 fish drop shotting in there but I can't understand how they do. I mean, as soon as I put the drop-shot in the water, even with a 1/2 ounce weight, it just wouldnt stay under the boat, in fact even the boat is following the current and moving fast. So what if the weight gets to the bottom and start moving with the current? is it still effective? What should I do? Thank you guys!
  22. Hey everyone, I just finished my first season of tournament fishing, Bassresource as been helping me alot during the whole season. Now that my rookie year is behind me, i want to get it the top spots! I want to be consistent and be able to ajust to any water plan.< I live about 2 minutes away from the St-Lawrence river wich is a good fisherie but is very tough to fish on because of its huge current. well im here to learn and to share everything I can with you guys! Mike.
