  1. Its easy to know what size they are.. you would be amazed how long they keep the bait even on bait with no hook... i even set the hook with no hook on my bait this way i have a good idea of how heavy the fish is and even then they dont let go... Smallmouths jump and spit the bait and we have a good look at it
  2. Hey guys, i am pre fishing for a tournament this weekend and i am looking for a way to not set the hook on any fish, i used the bend my hooks but this is not dollar efficient, how do you guys protect your hooks from accidentally hooking the fish?
  3. Well according to spectra fishing, both Tuf-Line and Power Pro are using spectra!! You are probably right... So where are the guys who say Tuf-Line is BS and they are only using PP?
  4. Thank you for these infos! Very useful!
  5. There are so many fishing lines out there, about braided lines , is there any evidence that one is better than another? Or is it only by personal preference that people swear by a certain brand? Thank you!
  6. what you don't see on the TV shows is how long they fight the fish for to get itreally tired to have a professional looking fish land on camera. Any smallie caughtaround the boat will giggle all around where ever you grab him
  7. I have a 1year old Shimano Curado and even if i tighten the brake as much as i possibly can i can still pull on the line and it comes out fairly easily, how can i fix this? Thanks!!
  8. Hey guys, ive been intrigued by this for a while.... i bought a small spool of Suffix 100% Fluoro LEADER and was very pleased with the quality, i rarely broke my knots or broke on a fish... So i bought a big spool of Suffix 100% Fluorocarbon but it did not mention LEADER on the packaging... and somehow i broke alot at the braid to fluoro knot... Is this just bad luck? Or is there reallya difference between 100% Fluorocarbon Leader and 100% Fluorocarbon ????
  9. Just had to share my last outing with you guys...Yesterday I pull up to a ''regular spot'' some place i often fish and its always a decent spot... but yesterday was different... I pull up to the spot wich is a 1' to 3' deep sand flat next to shore with a very steep drop off to about 35'... it was dead calm, very little wind, but were flying around and diving to grad baitfish... i casted my craw where they were diving and BOOM... 5.05lbs smallie.... I fished this same spot for four hours and caught about 40-50 smallies with my new PB of 5.75lbs! just an insane day! https://imgur.com/a/ZrmEN[/IMG]
  10. Ok thanks for the advices!
  11. I fish a strech of the st-lawrence river that is very pressured, there is a tournament and even two every week. I'm fishing sand flats and i find that those fish are getting smarter and spookier. I usualy fish a wacky rigged senko or a small tube with 1/8 weight. I'm looking for the most finesse techniques out there... break out the secrets here please I might try the good old split shot rig next time!
  12. Just went to my tacklestore and i tought i bought hair jigs but when taking them out at home they were actually feather jigs. Is one better then the other?? Pros and Cons?
  13. Ok i understand... but for draging and drifting it should not make a diffrence i believe
  14. Why do you believe it wont work as well as a hollow bodied tueb?
  15. Hey guys, if you fish tube baits you got to know ow annoying it is to retie every single time because your tube head goes inside your tube, i'm looking for a Shroom head in like 3/8 and tubes that are not hollow bodied so it holds to the head properly does that exist? Suggestions?? Something like this but this is a tiny tube m looking for a 3.5'' tube
