Fished Daycare Pond a couple hours early today. Caught 2 small bass on a black Senko. Anyone had any luck here or at the Civic Center lately?

Warranties aside, your thoughts on how these rods compare in performance for fishing crankbaits?

RW - now I'm curious about the MM. What steers you toward the MM instead of MHM? Would the MHM offer more versatility for a wider range of cranks, or do you think it's overkill for all but the deep-divers?

You might want to check Dick's for clearance specials. I picked up a Sahara 2500 (FD) a couple of days ago for $35. They also had a 3000 FD for the same price.

I use mono for my slack line Senko fishing, but it can be difficult to see especially in cloudy conditions. Any high-vis mono recommendations?

Fished Neshoba a few hours this morning. One other guy there also. Caught several between us in the under 2 lb size on green worms. No takers for a spinnerbait or lipless crankbait. Any other updates from the local gang?

So where is Glen Springs Lake? I hit Neshoba a week or so ago for about an hour the morning after a big rain. Caught a 1.5 pounder and 2.5 pounder on a swim jig and trailer around the stormwater culverts on the Wolf River Pkwy side of the pond.

Colliervile, TN just outside of Memphis. The bass here are partial to dry rub BBQ.

I threw a swim jig all over DC Pond a couple of weeks ago just before dark. Couldn't get any takes.

I've read lots of good discussions in this Forum on choosing between a swim jig and a spinnerbait, but what about choosing between a swim jig and a lipless or shallow-running crankbait -- assuming that they're both intended to represent a bait fish? A personal preference, or something more?
