Bass Fishing After Grass/vegetation Spraying
You should be ok, the week or 2 after the treatment the shad will retreat to deeper water into baitballs, so instead of targeting grass mats, maybe target drop offs, rocky points? when it happened where i fish i notice that the week or two after i caught bass deeper, then 2 weeks later i caught them in 2-4 feet of water on the edges of grass lines that had grown back. the grass should grow back quickly in time for the shad migration up the creeks.

Clear Lake Hitch Is Now A Threatened Species
Gentlemen, The CEnter for biological diversity has blocked me from commenting on their facebook page and deleted all the comments i made over the past few months. But here is something i dug up in my hours and hours of research its called the "black bass act of 1980" this was something that the CA state legislature passed. Do you know what the DFW has done to satsify this law? they designated one "bass trophy lake" in each of the 6 districts, and when you catch a fish over 10lbs you get a certificate. Sounds like the DFW isn't following the law, kind of like the CBD sues when the DFW isn't following the ESA, why can't we use this law to sue? the pacific legal foundation are the people we need to talk to , they are the main organization against all this ***. FISH AND GAME CODE SECTION 1740-1743 1740. This chapter shall be known as the Black Bass Conservation and Management Act of 1980. 1741. The Legislature hereby finds and declares that it is the policy of the state to preserve and enhance black bass resources and to manage black bass populations to provide satisfactory recreational opportunities to the public. 1742. The Legislature further finds and declares that the black bass management program components specified in this chapter are a continuation of the department's existing warmwater fisheries program, and, as such, shall be funded from existing department budgetary resources. 1743. (a) The department's black bass management program shall include, but not be limited to, the following components: (1) The department shall determine the angler harvest of black bass populations and shall recommend to the commission the changes in angling regulations for black bass that would be necessary to prevent or correct overharvest. (2) The department shall consider recommending to the commission catch and release regulations for black bass, including minimum or maximum size restrictions and management for trophy-sized black bass in some waters. (3) The department shall consider the suitability of the many different species, subspecies, and strains of black bass when management programs are formulated. (4) The department shall improve shoreline habitat for black bass in waters where insufficient habitat exists and shall encourage reservoir operating agencies to carry out shoreline habitat improvement projects. ( For the purposes of this section, "black bass" means fishes of the Centrarchidae family.

Will The New Minn Kota Ulterra Trolling Motor Become Popular On The Tournament Circuits?
as for responsiveness, that's what the rabit button is for . hit the rabbit button and you automatically get full "10" maximum power to get you out of tight spots. here's a tip , if you hit the rabbit button once it blasts you up to 10 power, hit it again and it will take you back down to your original speed. so you can rapidly press it and pulse your trolling motor.

Will The New Minn Kota Ulterra Trolling Motor Become Popular On The Tournament Circuits?
I spent about 5 or 6 hours with the new Ulterra trolling motor at iCast this year, and that thing is amazing. I wish i hadn't bought my ipilot terrova so i could have bought that one. So how is this, you go up to the launch ramp, launch your boat and let it float out a little bit. hit the deploy button, then hit GPS spot lock. go park the boat. walk down to the dock, steer the boat over to you jump on board, sit down hit the stow button and fire up the engine and youre gone. as for the shallow water fisherman? well you can automatlically adjust the height of the propellor on the go. As for the ipilot, you have to forget what you know about trolling motors and learn how to use it. I use the foot pedal most of the time and i rarely use spot lock even in heavy winds.

Ever Had A Day
learn when the major and minor times are and make sure to fish during those times

Ever Had A Day
look at usprimetimes.com , now look at the graph chart for each day, now start taking a note of when you catch fish during the day and how that relates to the chart. see if there is a corelation. I can tell you at my lake, when its a crappy day during the solar lunar cycle there might be 6 boats out at my lake. but when its an excellent day there will be more like 20-25. sometimes people think about how things effect bass when they forget about how things effect shad, crawfish, etc. When the moon and sun both have major events at the same time, you better believe that it effects the smallest animals in the lake, thus it will effect the biggest ones too. For example, when do bass and shad spawn during the month? right around the full moon.

Daichi Treble Hooks Are Sharp, Hard To Cut, And Hurt In Your Hand-Carry First Aid & Hook Removing Kits For Safety!
nothing compares to the sharpness of the treble hooks on the megabass vision 110 with the barbs on the outside of the hook. i got one stuck in my thumb 2 months ago, No hook removal techniques worked. had to go to the ER to have it removed and took them a long time and 2 shots to numb my thumb and lots of force to remove it.

How Do You Find Fish On A Lake Without A Fishfinder
seriously though people, use google "lake name" fishing map. and then see what you come up with, make sure to check images too.

How Do You Find Fish On A Lake Without A Fishfinder
it only took me googling the lake name and then fishing maps to find this http://www.njfishandwildlife.com/pdf/lakes/assnpink.pdf it gives you the location of sunken christmas trees on the map. my adivce is to have one rod rigged with a carolina rig with a 1/2 oz tungsten sinker , use that to feel and search the bottom of the lake. Looking at the map in the link above, i would fish around the areas of 2 and 3 , where the depth changes rapidly and there is structure . find the structure with your carolina rig. avoid the flat shallow areas for now

Starting My Quest For A Big Bass!

Anyone Here Use 360' Imaging Fish Locators?
for someone who has a terrova ipilot and can't put the trolling version. why is the above not suitable for the transom mount?

Red Hooks
I swore by red hooks for the past 8 months, then recently , d**n i couldn't get bit texas rigging a d-bomb with a red gamu EWG hook. then i switched to a flipping hook, and low and behold , much more hookups. the thing about using an EWG hook for soft plastics is that it creates a much bigger profile, and i think using a flipping hook in black is just a much better choice because it looks a hell of alot more natural and is more compact. also if you're fishing deeper water it doesn't really matter too much since the red color will fade quickly the deeper you go.

Anyone Ever Fish With A Snake Type Bait?
I hate to be one to tell you this but that video is complete BS, they spliced 3 videos together. the strike is not the same shot, and after the strike their like "where did he go where did he go?" , you can hear the audio skip just before that. Also when he cast that snake he was around a bunch of cover and it was sunny but when he reels in the fish he is in open water adn its overcast. old tricks used to sell snakes to fisherman .

How To Prevent Arm Tanning
I fish in the hot sun alot and i can tell you that having a UV shirt is less hot than wearing a sleeveless shirt. I would recommend AFTCO (Guy Harvey) UV shirts over columbias or simms every day of the week. they also have one with a hood built into that is super sweet
