I have a 2005 tracker pro team 175, I would definitley if i had the money go with an xpress boat. they have ironed out all of the kinks and they are some sick boats (also big and fast). my advice is don't go with a 17 , go with at least an 18ft or above. I have friends whio have g3, aluminum ranger and triton , and im not impressed with any of those in aluminum.

the 800 series is replacing the 700 series , and there are lower priced products that are 360 capable and iLink capable than 2013

HAHAHAHAHHA...hahahahah hahahaahah Ok so this thing is the funniest biggest piece of expensive crap i've ever handled. Here's the story. So at iCast 2014, on the tuesday night before the show opens between 5pm to 7pm thats when all of the retailers and wholesalers get the first look at some of the new products from some of the manufactures (not all) with open bar in this "new product preview" and vote on best in show. , So a bunch of us are all standing around drinking heineken laughing at the craptasticness of this thing ( i was the only one who had watched this youtube video prior to iCast. so i was the only one who knew anything about it) 1. Its MSRP was $1350!!!!! So its a $1350 solution to a 2 cent problem. (we spent much time cracking jokes about what we could buy with that $1350 instead). 2. NOBODY EVER SAW THIS THING WORK!! IT BROKE 5 MINUTES INTO ICAST. you see all those exposed gears and springs!!?? well in less than 10 minutes at 510pm this thing had already ceased to wind , work or function at all. you couldn't flip the spool, crank the reel or open the bail/spool. Most of it was due to having 2 big crappy quality gears completely exposed . after it broke , it just became more hilarious and mysterious because it didn't work and people had no idea how it would work if it did. I understand that Kendra Gear is not Daiwa , but this thing was rushed, could have been built better by crab people

8-7 caught 2 weeks ago by KC at Lake Casitas on some large popper. BOOM!! Big fish at the night tournament was an 8-2 this past weekend, and there were a few 7's caught last week. BOOM!!

buzz baits , something i found success in was actually drop shooting a roboworm 6 inch hologram shad .

try going out at my lake with just one rod and 3 crank baits, and see how that works. I used to only fish crank baits because i lived back east. then i moved to california and realized that i didn't know jack about bass fishing. you CANT really catch a fish on a crank bait at my lake from october to early june. even in the summer you're fishing only deep diving cranks (there are some exceptions). When i go out fishing at my lake , i have a drop shot rod, a flipping rod, a topwater rod, and and a rod i may have a carolina rig, jerk bait or whatever depending on the season. i understand fishing from a kayak your limited but when you're catching fish in 25-35 feet of water , that strategy might not work

The reason this happens to sharks (I'm guessing here) is they have skeletons made of cartilage while bass have bones. side note, the 2 bass i have in my aquarium like to barrel roll upside down sometimes, not sure why. (they flip 180 on their back and then 180 back the same way again)

for smoking there is a spray called "banish" look it up it does the trick or the hunting scent eliminator works too. or when you smoke just wear a glove on that finger.

depends on where you're fishing. where i fish everyone always has some sort of leader of 10lb or less fluorocarbon for crank baits, jigs, texas rigged. but when i fished the potomac years ago , i always just used braid. depends on where you fish.

get the craigslist app for your iPhone or smart phone "craigspro" much better using app on phone than actuall site on your computer. if you must use your computer, use search tempest or onecraigs to search nationwide. , make sure you add up to the closest 10 counties around you. basically you have to expand your search area to 500 miles or so. and everyday go to "boats" and search "bass" or just search all (you can also search "moving" to find people who have to sell quick) be ready to drive up to 300 miles at the drop of the hat to get a good deal. do yourself a favor and spend $2000. best time of year to get a boat is in the fall , september , october and november.

3 weeks ago I was fishing this concrete rebar / sunken log spot for an hour. I thought I had gotten hung up so I yanked it to confirm , only to feel a fish instead. Reeled in my catch to see that I had hooked a 4-2 through its back by its dorsal fin. I was suprised and also kind of mad like "wait you have been down there this whole time and you didn't bite?!"

i like to order from big rock sports , wholesale prices. or directly from the manufacturer themselves. Wholesale prices are interesting. on soft baits its a 50% discount, on hard baits its 30-40 , on electronics its barely anything. but tackle warehouse is awesome because i can order from them at noon on a monday, and have it at my door at 10am on a tuesday (in CA only).
