  1. Thanks. Yes, you are very lucky haha.
  2. Water was very murky. Could be why they are dark colored. It seems that clear water bass have very white stomachs unlike these bass. And water was about 40 degrees
  3. What does the dark coloration of the fish indicate? The bass' stomach was also very yellow from the cold water.
  4. The prespawn has taken some time to arrive, and lakes have only recently iced out. Got my first fish on a spro aruku shad in perch just burning it under the surface. Felt so good to have a New York bass on my line again. I also caught a yellow perch on, ironically, a yellow perch rapala jerkbait... how funny.... and even the front hook was in his mouth haha More fish will be coming soon for sure!!
  5. Revenge viberator or any of the D&M custom baits chatterbaits X2 on Siebert outdoors chatterbaits
  6. I ended up selling it to a member here on BR. I do not see an issue with selling it for more than I bought it for. Its supply and demand. I don't see myself as a "flipper"; I dont buy large quantites and sell them to make huge profit. If I can make a little extra cash, especially since I do not have a job, It seems probable to me.
  7. Haha yea. Its okay. I always have my shakeyhead
  8. This close to spawn?! Ha! Hopefully prespawn will begin at earliest June.
  9. I know, that was just an example. Im not really in need of a weedless swimbait to be honest. In my eyes, i feel like its better to stick with proven swimbaits. The huddgill could become a legendary bait, but who knows. I really like the detail of the fins and the paintjob. However, when I got it it was surprisingly smaller than expected and I noticed the hook at the head would require the fish to really push it out of its slot due to the bulk of the body being in the middle. I honestly would be concerned about hookups too. Just my opinions. All in all, I would sell a $25 bait for $60 any day.
  10. Got mine today, put it right up on eBay and i already got some people watching it. The bait has nice detail but i can get 3 mattlures ultimate bluegills with $60 so... figured I would sell it. Im looking at the $60 range here when people start bidding as the bid comes to a close. Bought for $25 I believe, going to make ~$40 off of it by flipping. Sounds like a good deal to me, and to the bait monkey too, who says that extra money could be put to use in a TW order
  11. nope never had to with a double palomar knot.
  12. count me in To OP: Very nice, you are lucky that you even have unfrozen waters!!!
  13. Lol. Might want to work on your hookset. What type of line are you using?
  14. Can't forget about us long islanders!
  15. Many anglers fish here, its one of the most popular lakes on the island. It has indeed produced some very nice fish, including that 9lber. It could be due to the wide range of food: bluegill, pumpkinseed, pickerel, perch, shiners and trout that allowed the growth of such a fish.
  16. what have you been hooking them on??
  17. at least you have water that isnt frozen
  18. First fish cast of 2015 Went out today, sunny w/ some clouds, low 40s to see if I could get a bite. We had just gotten 6 inches of snow on the first day of spring, and the snow was melting very fast. Most of the lakes are still frozen but this one surprisingly was not. I went through all of my pre spawn lures, had a swipe at a spinnerbait and a few followers on a jerkbait. They were very sluggish and weren't committed at all I really hope the bass start eating and that we don't get any more snow -Welds
  19. this is why I use 20 lb sufix 832 braid
  20. why is this happening to us!!??! :(
  21. Lolol very nice! They will probably get a lot of use before we begin fishing here in New York haha.
  22. At least you have water that isnt frozen :/ 19 degrees this morning. Forecasted snow around friday/saturday. And It was 60 degrees just a week ago...
