  1. Thank you Glenn! Your video was very helpful, I actually just bought those hooks today, so now I know how to use them!
  2. PUTTING AWAY? ha you're joking right?
  3. There we go! Just what I needed, thanks! Im going to go fishing soon, evening though its cold, 55 degrees during the day, 40s at night.. lets hope i can get one of these "fall" bass
  4. Tie direct? What knot? Or do you use a swivel?
  5. what lb test do you use to create your dropshot rig? Im new to dropshotting. Thanks also, is monofilament alright to use? i know most people prefer flurocarbon, but dang that stuff is expensive
  6. No one will ever know how many soft plastics are in my backpack :DD
  7. Just got back from the pond, Lots of activity, lots of bass around and saw some lunkers but nobody was eating anything.. got one small dink on a bluegill lure and a bunch of bluegills but thats it...
  8. the time has come to get into some serious swimbaits for me. Im looking at the spro bbz-1 swimbait. Heard lots about it and the action looks amazing. What size do you recommend? 6" or 8"? Im leaning towards 6". Also, i have read some reviews that recommend changing out the hooks.. is it a good idea to do so? (what size hooks fit on the bait? m not sure what size hooks come originally with it) Thanks, Welds
  9. Yup. I have no school tomorrow because of elections, so i think ill still go. Ill try to go again on wednesday after school if i can
  10. Yea, im headed out tomorrow, wish me luck
  11. Darnit... I have to wait until Christmas of 2016..... Sigh
  12. I like the small grub idea! Sounds quite finesse to me! I am going to head out tomorrow: its going to be sunny and high 50s, a bit of wind. One question: does a leader actually matter? I usually just tie directly to braid. Do you think the braid may be scaring fish off? I don't really think so because i've caught all my fish at this pond this way. Maybe, i don't know if this is true, but since its cold the bass are finicky and won't bite if they see the line.. true or not?
  13. You could use blogger.com Its easy to use
  14. inserting nail weights- doesn't this leave a permanent hole in the bait? and sets it off balance
  15. Got skunked! Not even the bluegills were biting
  16. Also, the thing about this pond is, weeds choke the bottom of the pond and they are about 5 inches deep on the bottom and its impossible to fish anything on bottom without getting weeds
  17. I wish i was in Florida right now...
  18. Hey all, Winter is closing in but im still trying to make as many trips as I can. Today I am free to go but sadly its very windy and mid 40s (Air temp). The sun isn't out either, its complete overcast. I want to go fishing at a pond nearby, but usually when its windy like this the fishing there is TERRIBLE. I know i should go today because it may be one of the my last trips... How should I approach the pond with all this wind? Thanks, Welds
  19. most of my hooksets are to the side, because im working my lures with my rod to the side
  20. Very nice! How much did that fish weigh?
  21. I might have to agree with this. I switched often to find a lure that wont get weeds though
