How Y'all, Youse, And You Guys Talk
It told me, Mobile, Tallahassee, and Oklahoma City. Interestingly, I took this a few weeks ago and it told me Richmond-Augusta and Miami. I grew up in Dallas, spent 5 years in Colorado, spent a few years in an around Oklahoma City, went out of the country for a while, then spent time in Georgia, and finally California for the past several years. I think I just generally confused the hell outta that survey.

Whats The Best Bait 4 Grass Carps?
I use a spear (hawaiian sling). As far as eating them, it can be done. But, they have more bones than a 14 year old bulldog. And it is a darker meat. The way I saw them prepared was slow smoked whole. The meat was then pulled from the carcass and sifted for bones, at which point it was useless for anything but a stew or croquettes. I had the croquettes, and they were not bad. Like I said, its pretty dark for a fish, and very much reminded me of ham in consistency and taste. It is not something I would want all the time, but an interesting experience.

Whats Your Cold Weather Gear?
Mountain Hardware baselayer and monkey man jacket. If it is really cold, I will wear a marmot softshell between those once it gets into the 30s. Add a pair of northface powerstretch gloves and icebreaker mountaineer socks and I am good to the mid 20s. Below that, I'm not fishing.

Do These Kinds Of Lizards Eat Bass Eggs?
As a relatively experienced herpetologist, I can tell you that north american skinks and north american lizards in general are not aquatic. Newts and salamanders (amphibians), though not "lizards" in a biological sense closely resemble them and bass certainly cannot tell the difference. They are most certainly prey for bass, and will trigger a reaction strike as an egg eater. But then I have seen a nickel (literally) on a 5/0 gamakatsu outfish lures that cost 100 nickels when bass are in protection mode.

Texas Rigged Senko Is Killer!
To answer the original question, throw one of those wacky rings at the top of the worm just below the hook eye. it will double the life, in my experience. And as long as we are talking about how not to fish it. Don't rig it with a tungsten bullet (pegged or not) with a swivel, a glass bead, and hooked 1/4" too far back on the worm so that it has a kink and retrieved quickly. It won't spin like a banshee, and bass that are bored with a traditional slowly retrieved senko will not be more interested in this presentation at all.

" Tiger Bass"...........?
To be honest, I fished a place that has them. They seemed more aggressive only that they hit the lure a little harder. They still were highly disinterested in some baits and were not extremely interested in chasing when it was not their happy time. In the end, bass are bass and nothing is going to change that.

Clear Worms?
To texas rig a wacky rig.......... Have a weed problem, the standard weedless hooks were not exactly weedless. So I used a small piece of worm texas rigged on a wacky rig. It actually worked much better for the weeds, but it's pretty unnatural and cumbersome looking. So, I am looking to use some "invisible" clear worms to help the presentation

Interesting Situation, How Would You Fish This?
Get out the lipless crankbait, chrome and blue is my color of choice, and try to find out what depth they are holding at. Without cover, they are probably holding up against the steep banks, so I would start by casting parallel to them. Sounds like some of the Southern Kansas quarry ponds I have fished. When it gets a little warmer, I have had success with topwater spooks and hula poppers in lakes like this.

What's Your Favorite Bourbon?
You guys want some amazing stuff (warning, not price friendly), try the following: Blantons Single Barrel: My long time favorite sipping whisky. A couple of fingers in a tumbler warms the heart. Willett Kentucky Straight Pot Still Rerve: This one is one of my new discoveries. Much smoother than Blanton's. Easier sipping, but lacks some of the character IMO. Either way, both are very worth trying if you don't mind ponying up $35-40 for a bottle. Just don't mix them with coke.....that would be sad.

Weirdest Place You've Caught Bass
I caught a 4-5 pounder out of the bucket of a bulldozer that a failed mining operation let slide into a quarry pond. When I was a kid, maybe 12 years old, I spent about 3 weeks at my grandpas house in the houston area one summer. I had never seen so much rain in my life. It must have rained an inch a day for the first two weeks. Well, needless to say, all of the ditches and culverts were full. So, I asked my grandpa if he cared if I dug a "pond" on his land. Glad to have me busy and not bothering him I think, he said sure. So I spent 3 days digging a 10x10x4 foot deep hole, and then connected it to one of the culverts. As it turns out, the culverts were getting their water from overflowing long abandoned rice canals that contained fish. Long story short, the day before I was supposed to leave my grandpa's house, I caught a fingerling bass on a bobber and piece of bacon in my pond. My buddy called me an buttocks hole once for trying to cast into his open livewell from 20 feet away. That would have been a pretty good place to catch one I think.

Clear Worms?
I dont. I need a number if 1 to 2 inch pieces. The easiest way to express what was in terms of a normal sized worm, rather than to tell him I needed 15 1.5 inch lengths.

Lake Thunderbird, Norman, Oklahoma
Never had that much luck in the dirty bird either, but i left there about 6 years ago. I imagine its still overfished like it was back then. I found out pretty fast that it was worth the relatively short drive to go somewhere less crowded with more fish. Some places I used to hit......... Bell Cow Konawa Ft. Cobb And a little farther than that, McGee Creek was probably my favorite place.

Clear Worms?
I just need 20-25 inches worth, so maybe 5 5-inchers. I will check Barlows when I am in Dallas next week and then Krew if that doesnt work. Thanks fellas!

Clear Worms?
Does anyone know where I can get crystal clear plastic worms, or in absence of a worm, shad, fluke, etc?

What You Don't Like About Fishing
1. Sunburn. The sun and I do not get along. I can max out the SPF and still be burned in under an hour. 2. Cold weather. I hate cold less than I love fishing, but not by much.

Rare Catches.....
My buddies were out this morning. They are cool, but ruin the fishing I think. I am guessing the fish all clear out when these guys are active. That is the female and a juvenile, I think. The big male was in the water cruising back and forth chuffing at me.

Rare Catches.....
I pretty regularly fish a place that has a family of 4 river otters in it. I see them all the time on their back chowing on bluegill. I am always afraid that I will catch one. I never cast near them, but they see and hear very well and can cover a lot of water very fast, and there is not enough visibility for me to see them going after a lure. I suppose it is only a matter of time, since I see them almost every morning I am there. The only real option is to cut it off because between the claws and teeth, it would be a trip to the emergency room. But, they arent like a fish, and a hook could cause them serious harm, so I would feel bad.

Revo Premier Vs. Daiwa Z200??
I need a new reel and was set to grab a Revo Premier, and now the Z200 is at the same price point. I had never seriously looked at the Z200 at or near the MSRP. But, now I am forced to make a comparison between the two. As how I fish, well, I am all over the spectrum. I guess mostly I fish small ponds and smallish rivers/creeks, but a few times a year I do hit the delta, and Berryessa/Clear Lake. I do a fair amount of traveling, mostly to North Texas and split my time between Fork, Ray Roberts, and a Private lake while I am there. I have mainly been a shimano guy in the past, though I own a couple of quantum spinners. Does anyone with experience with one, or even better, both of these care to weigh in? Or do I just say screw it and get a T3 and T3 Ballistic. 1st world problems.......... Anyway, thoughts would be appreciated.

So, It's Cold
Some of us less rooted individuals know how lucky we have it and feel your pain. I remember one specific January morning taping chemical hand warmers all over the inside of my pants and shirt and using a heat gun to keep my rod clear to try to fish a warm water discharge. Good luck.

Most Reliable Lure When Fishing For Largemouth? Need Opinions And Recommendations!
I am like so many others. I usually know that with a senko (usually texas rigged in some manner) I am going to have some success. On the other hand, I do not think that Senkos are the optimal solution in most cases. And, let's be honest, they aren't the most exciting thing in the world to fish. If you fish them all the time, you are only going to be good at fishing one thing. May as well just put a nightcrawler under a bobber. For me, it is all about being comfortable enough with many baits to be able to find the optimal one given the conditions.

Weirdest Thing You've Reeled In
I reeled in a globe once. Some kids must have been ticked off about geography class. Weirdest thing I ever saw reeled in.....a guy I was with pulled up a Glock 9mm, about half a clip and one in the chamber.

Bank Fishing Forum
I fish a lot of spots with pretty dense cover, and I usually put a trash bag over my rod when bushwacking. Some techniques I use when its too thick for any kind of backcast.... Wrist rocket - be careful doing this as it could potentially implant a hook a long way into somewhere you do not want it. It is most dangerous on hardbaits with hanging, swinging trebles. You just have to be mindful about making sure the hooks are facing out. If you snag a treble on the pocket and it then slings back, well you might get away with it once, or you might not. And, if you do not get away with it, you won't be too happy with yourself. I wasn't happy with myself once, or maybe twice , so I try to stick to t-rigs now when using this.....until I get really desperate. I have never had an issue using t-rigs. They do not go as far as I can cast, but considerably further than I can pitch or flip. Another thing I will do is slack line drift a frog on windy days. Put yourself upwind of some nice looking cover, drift it through, and then drag it back. I have combined that technique with the wrist rocket and put bait in places i had no business getting it to. Sometimes you can fling it out there into a crosswind past an exposed stump and then work the bait right to left or vice versa without dragging it back towards shore. The trick is being able to sling the line over the stump when you get a strike. It can make hooksets tricky, and obviously you will eventually end up with line abrasion. Or you may end up with a fish on in an unlandable situation if it zooms back toward you and around the stump. But if it can get you to fish you can't otherwise reach....well thats the name of the game, right? Anyway, just some stuff I use occasionally. Hopefully it helps or gives someone some ideas.

What's Your Favorite Hollow Belly Frogs And Why?
i haven't heard anyone mention the Reaction Strike Revolution Frog. They have done pretty well for me.
