Yea, the first pic was outta focus, contrast etc... But after the new pic was uploaded it was clear the first was a smallmouth!

Just curious , what bait? I used to catch smaller Cuda down at Rosey Rhodes, P. R. Along with Tarpon, 40" wow, nice fish there, we ate some small Cuda , it was tasty.... Along with yellow tail and other snapper... I *** you having that at you're back door, just saying... I love Salt fishing!

I never did fish fresh at night either, there was a ban on gators prior to 89 and I've seen the works of poachers on loochloossa one early morn.... 13 dead gators that had been killed and mostly discarded . I guess between the poachers and gators I gave up on the ideal

I prefer fishing the new moon. The fish will spawn on both new and full, but skewed toward the full. Fishing is good on both, but tends to be best on the days leading up to the full moon and on the days just after the new moon. To simplify it, it seems the fishing is best when the moon is getting bigger, not smaller, with each succeeding day. As stated by Doug Hannon...
