I haven't been real up to the moment on shimano after a year of being in the loop on the curado I , but months ago it was said by bantam 1 , something to the effect of, no plans for a 50 size curado I , or a citica. That's been awhile though... Nothing wrong with a chronarch 50 though... Except I really like my aluminum drag stars! There's some other guys Iam sure are still gathering Intelligence on Shimanos minute by minute, mis- information game!! I have a really good source.... He won't say a word, just giggles, that's all.

I believe either reel will be great for you, however, I see no reason to not jump on the Curado I it's a very good reel and priced more than fairly!

On my VBS reels 2 on and I can do anything I need to... Same with SVS... I am not sure what I could usefully gain using only one brake on, maybe those guys could enlighten me? I know some guys run one brake.

Yea they are tools and both are great tools, I too use both and love both, they are used quite different from one another, fatigue can happen for a multitude of reasons, I use baitcasting 75% 25 spinning... I generally like my spinning gear at the higher end of the cost spectrum same as my baitcasting, I like good and or really good equipment . Use the rods and reels the way you choose to, and so will I.

Patoka lake... But it's not just me, lots of folks hate the lake for LMB , over and over again I have seen 40 boat tournaments with a single fish winning? I consider my self a decent fisherman, not on patoka.... I quit fishing it though I know a guy that caught a 9+ in a area I fished a lot ... Great crappie/ bluegill and now pretty good for stripers... But LMB ? Might as well travel and hire a boat.. That's my thing...

Lews and the brakes... Back off the braking.. Adjust the cast control you should be able too get more distance outta that reel... Idk I don't use them all Shimano here but you should get better

Lines like Pline CX or CXX Yozuri hybrid, Big game mono, suffix siege , list goes on and on, are still used by a lot of fisherman, there are MANY choices in lines, not just braid or Florocarbon.
