  1. Nice, which action? I would be interested in hearing back on you're First impressions using the rod as well as quality of build!
  2. Post some pics of these strange things going on we wanna see it, you can post these fairly easily.
  3. I picked up zoom finnese , 3" senkos , robo 6" on clearance plus buy one get one free! I got a few bags!!!
  4. Wow, yea you're well armed... I know these hooks have a downward bend to them... I really haven't had a issue with that.... But not using them on those type baits.... I would want a more open hook point... Than the owner for that hi speed froggin method... There are dual hook options too.. Guys are bending those hooks up opening the bite up... Just looking at my owner 6/0 beast hooks... That's a wide open hook....
  5. Which wire? Owner makes the light strong shank and a heavier wire shank, what does you're hook look like after a strike? Just curious I suppose you are using braid, it maybe you need a stronger hook although I use these hooks a lot , just not with braid, the Zo maybe a better choice
  6. Nothing wrong at all with frying/ grilling LMB or Smallmouth... Follow you're state laws and enjoy you're catch...
  7. If I can only choose one? It's the Tube, it's not to be compared to a jig... They are too different, tubes are numbers bait +big fish too.... They are just different, ok sure I have had hot days with a jig, but more often than not the tube is my first choice, mostly...
  8. I used to have some salt&pepper jig skirts and some translucent shad colors, I can't find those anymore, so as far as clear, clear I bypass jigs and use Salt&pepper worms rigged diffrent ways
  9. Yep, reeling backwards means reeling out line(controlled) under tension it's a old timey way of trying to control the fish, bypassing the drag and or a open bail line feed.... I don't use it, and never have. But some guys do and that's fine. I believe if you use a diffrent line... You're issue goes away, largely...
  10. Those hooks look pretty rough, who knows how long it's been under, pretty cool caught something and on a anchor of all things
  11. I believe that the Powell diesel weighs like 3.5 @ 7'
  12. I seen shark guys do it that way in Galvelston, Tx. Huge sharks caught off the beach outta the gulf.. Awesome!
  13. I have one hopped a few 5 pounders in the boat...flippin just 5 or 6 Ft. Off the edge of boat in heavy hydrilla targeting open pockets ... Flip/bam lift swing/ done. Happens quick.... Strong sticks can get it done..... I have stuck 8 llb and that's a bit diff. Time to grab em by the mouth! In heavy hydrilla a net is no help really.
  14. Thanks 00 mod.. I appreciate it
  15. I asked about them at BPS again this past Sat. Those guys.... Should work elsewhere, one guy took me to a rage rod, I said no, rage bug, he's like this is the only rage we have! I thank him and go find my good buddy, after awhile I see him he seems to think maybe by Christmas they might have them.... Ok I will just wait... I am not in a terrible need for them, I have other rage products. I can't figure BPS Out.... Oh well I am a little jealous you guys got them!
  16. Good luck with you're A riggin!!!
  17. Yea guy, change out either of those lines will work much better.... Just check you're line more often around rocks.... I been Yozuri user since 98 but I have not used the ultra soft... I hear it is great!
  18. No, ham alright but Iam talking Vienna sausages, It's got all kinda meat in it!! Lol!!!
  19. Yea ok, well a few guys liked it at first... But they gave up on it because it broke so very easy one of those Guys was Glenn May... The head of Bassresource. You might seriously consider a line change. Maybe a 8 carrier braid.... It has to be considered!
  20. Yea , of course I believe the water you fish and you're location in the world does have to be considered.... I say that you're 3 pound smallmouth is a good fish... In Florida we would catch loads of 8 pd. fish LMB .... It was sorta like yea it's ok.... But we were hunting 10 to 16 pd. fish... And yes we were spoiled. But where you fish and the availability of fish types and growth rates has to be considered! Happy fishing.....
  21. Lol.. That's about the same as me using a PG carrot stix on my boat.... Man those guys wanna lynch me... It's a good rod... But man lotta haters around!
  22. I use em on back of jigs or trig them when the bite is hot.... On tougher days I will use better baits which cost more...
  23. What? Mustard over mayo... No way man
