I might even consider ditching the leader? Truthfully it's just a fishing occurrence ... I use owner cutting points in 7/0 (On big worms) don't ever feel the need to much to use EWG ... Red earth that is ultimately true, as I once, once, caught a 10" LMB on livers.... So I am sure that it does happen with other fishes as well.

Yea, well my 87 quantum could throw a 1/2 oz trap a mile too... But you would think, that Diawa could make a bullet proof gear system for any of their reels and no matter the cost, in this day and age, but I suppose a catastrophic gear failure can take place still yet. I switched to Shimano in 07 and after 25 years with Diawa, I have had almost 0 issues with shimano and a very long list of problems with Diawa, knock on wood!

Well for Cats, chicken livers, even chicken hearts will be a good isolating bait for a cats only bite, night crawlers will catch different fishes, bottom rigs of all sorts will work... For very large flatheads or blues a large bluegill 10 to 12 " is best... Cut bait can work too.

Stitch a 6 " worm along ledges/ drops/ slopes I mean sloooow if you have bigger fish in there it can and often gets bit.. It's a tough way to fish, but when you get bit, you will become a believer. I used to have really good patience, not so much now, try a thumping a big ole spinnerbait. Thing is with ponds A few cast with a SB and it's over, a plastic worm allows you to quietly and thoroughly fish the pond.

I just put 50 pd. suffix performance braid on a CTE200GT in fluorescent neon fire, so I can line watch with a leader of 20 FC never used braid either hootie, but Iam wanting to add a little to my experience just to learn more about it all! Casts and pitches fine, plus I can see it with a black light too... Nite time senko ledge fishing! Oh boy I feel 20 again, ok not really but hey it can't hurt to try it!!!
