How To Fish After Heavy Rain
After heavy rains I always fish the bank.. Depending on how much of a rise the lake gets, just a couple inches helps the shallow bite, 12" sets the lake on fire! Mainly in mid spring.

If You Could Only Choose One: T-Rig (Weighted Or Un-Weighted) Or Jig?
Yea, the only validation in this poll would be that only the small sampling of Folks here prefer it as the one and only choice, I have great confidence in both.... Simply for fun... I chose Trig... I learned soft plastics long before flipping and footballing, casting jigs..

T-Rig...

Flipping/pitching Baitcaster
That's kinda normal, also holding you're rod at various angles aids in uneven line distribution, some reels are worse at it than others. I just cast away and reel back and go back to flippin

I Had To Say Something....
15 years ago, I would have approached that situation in a similar manner, I raised my kids, and worked I disagree off to teach them at every oppertunity, still , a few things don't seem to have stuck... Maybe later it will come back to them, however now, No WAY... Am I approaching someone else's kids over a fish.... There are things I most certainly would... Just not a fish, things have changed drastically, Road rage, liability, discrimination , terroristic threatening ,etc, basic social values are similar for many, but not all....I support you're move OP, personally Iam going to side step the fish issue.

Hawgtech Handle (Cork) Excessive Play
Thanks for That DVT, none of my stock handles are like this either, I couldn't imagine this being normal, nonetheless I thought I would try and gather a little intel, and go from there, I don't think I can remove it, the little screw, that holds the nut cover in place? I buggered it up on the final torque! Just enuff to cause trouble on removal. Screws are too soft these days.

Hawgtech Handle (Cork) Excessive Play

Hawgtech Handle (Cork) Excessive Play
Well I wanted to ask now with the recent topic of knob shims, I got a 102mm w/ cork... Installed a few months ago.... So there Is considerable Fore and aft play on each cork grip. I have not taken it apart, it appears almost as if bearings are missing. That's how much play Iam talking about, after digging online a lot, I have not found anything suggesting this much play. On the contrary, that it is a tight handle. Hummm, can any of you hawgtech users comment, please?

Which Would Be Your Next?
Well I have only used the falcon, it's a great rod for Pop R's , small Dt4, or open hook tubes, as it is a moderate action, quite parabolic, I always felt it was more a medium/lite than medium, at least in my opinion... I don't think it would excel at shaky? But you could force it, I wouldn't. I have not used any others.

Which Would Be Your Next?
Well after looking at the many choices.... It really depends on it's job assignment. What will the rods primary use be?

Shimano Symetre Binding (Follow Up)

I buy late winter locally and I ALWAYS get plastics at .98 cents a bag, pit bosses 2 bags for 3$ just different plastics, they are not always jig trailers per se, but nonetheless save where you can, buy full price when you need to.

Oh yea, I am a right crank guy mostly, but I have 2 Curado 51E's that are leftys,, man I can flat work a topwater sooooo much easier and just more proficient . Shoot I even throw smaller cranks with it now, I like the 50/51 real well. The curado I is close, but not quite.... But real close! Now I need a JDM model!
