Like Tom said... I believe they can interfere with good hook sets, no doubt... But I thin mine by maybe 50 percent? Gives me a little protection and also makes hook ups go up, it's worked well for me!

Yep, always have caught em in summer, mostly in late evening in shallow 4-6 fow at edges of weed cover.. But also at other times.... Shade areas are ideal too.... Always, Always done well with a rattle bait! It's not just a spring bait.... Good luck!

Using 7" worms in Florida catch 5, 7 10 pd Bass all the time... Generally when using a live mule ear shiner..... You can catch 3 to 12 pd bass... Not really able to decide on size of fish to eat the bait... You never can tell,...only bed fishing will you know size of female!

I used the first ever... The Punchcutter! For a brand new concept... They blew a hole in a deer I will testify to that! After a bit I liked muzzy s 90 grain 3 blade when I was 15 I used a bear super razor blade I think it was 160 grain... Bad shoulder now... Haven't shot since 2006.. Yea bedders typically bed in the same areas each year, if the waters to dirty, saturate fish... I caught this way before.... But seeing these bedders is fun...patience as well as a few different baits.... Don't be afraid to put it right on her head either....

I like my 7'5" heavy stick my 7'1" not so much.. Baitcast rods... I got mine at 100$ each... But at retail? No way... You do get the wildcard with those rods at retail, that entitles you to a over the counter replacement at any dealer, anywhere! So that could be important... I really like the handles, for split grip it's the best IMO .. The guides get it done but are not exceptional by no means, but they work! So far mine are holding up nice, feel is average, it gets it done, actions and tapers are great.... I think the last gen. Imx is a great rod... I mean great.....!!!

Glad you like you're shimano, just wait , it gets better, hawgtech handles are awesome.. They have several options available including cork knobs..... I have only one now, but am hopeful on at least 2 more... They are a amazing carbon fiber handle... I am sure you would like it! I do!!

I have noticed with bigger impoundments it is true... Fish often stack up in groups off shore, smaller, real small waters its liable to be anywhere, that's my experience.

It is a reel that is worth more than it's retail price, IMO so spend now and be happy!
