  1. Out in the Southwest a lot of the Walmarts have been closing thier fishing departments.... Last Month I picked up all sorts of Arbogast Lures, Heddon Spooks and Rapala Crankbaits for only $1 a piece.
  2. There's a ton of really great fishing around Reno... Here is the most recent fishing report form their local newspaper http://www.rgj.com/article/20140122/LIV08/301220083/Fishing-Report-Jan-23 and here is a listing of most of the major lakes and rivers in the area http://www.visitrenotahoe.com/reno-tahoe/what-to-do/water-adventures/fishing/fishing-locations There's also a lot of backcountry lakes and streams (some really good trout fishing) that can be found using google maps.
  3. Personally I like Berkley Crystal Fireline... I have it on most of my spinning reels and it's great in heavy cover.
  4. I seen them out at iCast. I thought they looked pretty darn realistic, but whether that translates to actually catching fish I'm not really sure.
  5. I ussually start throwing them out around midday, after the topwater bite dies down.... but I've had luck with them pretty much anytime.
