  1. I just picked mine up last weekend. Did you get the 4stroke or 2?
  2. I didn't really look at it. It came with the boat. I'm going to pick it up this weekend and won't be doing much fishing. Just testing it out and stuff so within the next few weeks I'll probably try to Change it. Also what brand do you guys recommend? I don't need the top of the line. Just a good one i know will last a while and do what it's suppose to do
  3. Are these chargers easy to hook up?
  4. This might be a dumb question but here it is. I pulled the trigger on a new pro team 190 last weekend. I go to pick it up this Saturday. The only upgrade I did was the trolling motor. Went from a 12v to 24. Before I left I asked the guy if I need a 3 bank charger and he said no. He said the 2 bank would charge the trolling motor batteries and the alternator should take care of the starting battery. Does this sound right? This is my first boat so I'm not very knowledgable about these types of things. Any other tips are welcomed!
  5. Is there a difference for 2 or 4 stroke as far as the use of fuel additives? Sorry for all the questions guys. I just constantly hear of fuel/ethanol related problems.
  6. Everytime you fill up?
  7. I tried to do a search on here but couldn't find anything. I'll be purchasing a boat soon and was wondering if I should run fuel additives/treatments in the motor. I've heard some people say they always do and others that never do. Just wanting some opinions on here.
  8. There's a few in that area
  9. We have a slot limit on the closest lake to me, it's 13- 16 inches. Anything in between 13-16 has to go back. Most tournaments will allow people to keep the fish under 13. Every Saturday there are people that show up to weigh ins just to take the short fish home and clean them. All 16+ inch fish must go back after weigh in though
  10. Did you buy from bass pro? I'm debating buying from them or a local dealer. I'm torn between the 190 or 195. I haven't done much research on other aluminum boats though.
  11. I was wrong. The 190 is for 144 months the 195 is for 180.
  12. It was 144 months which would be 12 years. The guy told me that since it's a recreational loan that credit score wasn't that big of a deal. He said mostly they want a debt to income ratio under 35%. Which is pretty high. I figured mine to be around 17%. I don't see guys paying 250 a month for 20 years. That would mean you end up paying over 60,000 for a Bass Tracker.
  13. I didn't go that far into detail with him. I was just looking at what they had on the boat as far as prices go. The 195 was 186 a month I believe and the 190 was 179. That's with 10% down. All I asked was what the ideal credit score was and he said that they didn't look at credit score as much as debt to income. You might be better off going with the credit union because those are pretty good interest rates.
  14. Im looking at the same 2 boats. With the financing plan bass pro offers the monthly payment for the 195 is only about 8 dollars more. After weighing the options I thought I'd be crazy not to go with the 195. I won't be purchasing it until later in the year but unless something catches my eye the 195 will be my first boat
  15. If i know exactly what i want BPS is fine. If i have some questions i go tot he mom and pop stores. They started the business because they have a passion for it so I know they are knowledgeable.
  16. Only way I would go near a lake on the 4th is to watch the ramp. Id say you could laugh all day at the guys who bring the boats out a couple times a year.
  17. We are putting in at a ramp in greenup county ky, its just past Ashland
  18. Ive got a tournament on the Ohio this Saturday and I don't have a clue what to do. Ive only bass fished in lakes and ponds and my partner has only fished the river once and it was about a year ago. They are giving rain later this week so it will probably be up some and possibly muddy. Any tips/advice would be appreciated!
  19. I had a neighbor that kept a .32 in his boat and every carp he caught ended up with a bullet in it.
  20. well tourney number 2 is in the books. This is the lake me and my buddy have been catchin fish but not Saturday lol. The water couldn't have been more muddier. 3.00 lbs won the tournament Saturday.
  21. Well me and my partner fished our first tourney and we caught 5 fish all under 15 inches so no keepers. There were only about 8 or 9 boats weigh fish out of 25. The water was still under 50 so it was tough. Got my next one in two weeks so im hopin to get to weigh in a few then.
  22. really appreciate it guys. first tourney is in a week. water temp is still in the mid 40s hopin for a warm week and maybe get up to 50. what do you guys like to throw in colder water?
  23. In golf I always was playing my opponent and people that say they weren't are either lying or they watched tin cup to many times. If my opponent hits one out on 18 and we were tied im probably going back for the 3 wood. In fishing you have no clue what your opponent is doing and you will probably have a lot more on the water.
