  1. I was gonna gather up all the stuff I've purchased this past winter and take a picture of it but I got halfway done and got really depressed at how much $$$$$ I was looking at so I just put everything back. It was BAD!!!
  2. I don't mind telling people where some decent locations are since I truly do like to see people do well but I'll keep a few up my sleeve just for me. It's just like hunting public land. If you tell other people about all of your successful spots, you'll no longer have any successful spots.
  3. I'm heading up to Door County this weekend for some fishing. I'm going with a buddy who mainly fishes for musky (which I don't have the patience for) but I'm sure we'll get into some fun fish up there!
  4. Welcome from one Wisconsinite to another!!
  5. I got a jake this morning. I was hoping for a Tom of course but it's my first bird so I couldn't really be too picky.
  6. I'm in the SE Wisconsin area. I'm sure I'll be on one of the various lakes around here on the opener. Probably either Pewaukee Lake or Wind Lake.
  7. This is one of the reasons why I plan on buying a house in the country! I can't wait to be done with apartment life!
  8. Not ghetto at all! I do the same thing. I keep the bottles wrapped in small rags inside of an index card box from target. Works perfectly.
  9. I ordered about 15 or so jigs from him too. Can't wait to get my hands on them.....most likely tomorrow.
  10. I just bought 2 Duckett Micro Magics and 1 Ghost, an 840 yd spool of copolymer, some Plano boxes, and some rod socks today fromTW. I think I should put the debit card away for a while.
  11. I plan on upgrading my electronics on my boat and will be picking on up this year
  12. We're still waiting for ice to melt here as well. It'll be a while before I get a line wet.
  13. Yep, I think that post along with what I've learned from Jiggin' will be a strong start. I just placed an order with Siebert Outdoors so all I gotta do now is wait for the friggen ice to melt!!
  14. It's looking like slim pickin's for what I'm lookin for!
  15. Thanks for the help!! Now to head on over to Siebert Outdoors!!
  16. Ok. This definitely makes it easier. Thanks!! One more.....I think. Which jig is preferred for dragging along a soft bottom? I think the one I'm thinking of sits on the bottom with the hook pointing up.
  17. What application Is a shaky head used for?
  18. I'm gonna start using jigs myself. The mental hurdle for me is figuring out what type of jig to use for which situation. Weights I understand but understanding the applications for the different types is kinda overwhelming. Is there an easier way to figure this out or am I overthinking it? I know arky heads are preferred for skipping docks. When would one prefer a football jig? That's the kinda info I'm confused about.
  19. You happen to see a 7' medium cranking rod there somewhere?
  20. The ones I found on ebay were mainly the 7'11". That's a bit longer than what I was hoping for.
  21. I know Shelton's had them for $100. They're mostly sold out of the most common ones. Any other places offering a decent deal on them? I'm looking to pick up a couple.
  22. What kinda rod/reel setups are you guys using for walleye rigs?
  23. I'd have to say that the one thing that almost sends me into a rage is when I'm in the boat fishing and I'm thirty or forty yards from the shore fishing and another boater decides that instead of going the route of the wide open body of water behind me, it's in his (or her) best interest to blow by me at wide open throttle between me and the shore!!
