  1. I respect your honesty. There are few things I love more than drinking or bass fishing. However, I do not drink while I fish or operate my bass boat.... Even though I really want to. I believe most states have an open container law on most state waters anyway. In my line of work any alcohol related offense is automatic career suicide. But let me reiterate.... I freaking LOVE BEER!!!!!!! Respectfully, Thirtysixit
  2. Would 10lb mono stretch to much for deep cranking? I'm wanting to try out 10ld Big Game for my DD22's....
  3. Easy sweep sounds good. How quickly to you reel them back to the boat?
  4. I was using a Falcon Cara Deep Diver rod with 12lb Big Game Mono. I was throwing a Norman Deep lil N with stock hooks.
  5. So I lost three fish today throwing a crankbait. I'm wondering if I'm ripping the lure out of the mouth of the fish..... I've always heard on crankbaits the hooks set themselves but I do give an extra "tug" when I feel a strike. How do you guys do it? Respectfully, Thirtysixit
  6. Norman Strike King 6th Sense
  7. My dad fished with a Bayou Boogie back in the 50's..... Ring a bell anyone?
  8. Plano 3700 basic for all my lures and Bass Mafia Bait coffin for my hooks and sinkers.
  9. Hilarious! Nice post.
  10. 1.) Norman Deep lil N 2.) KVD Sexy Frog - Black
  11. That is a great point and I understand the "Global economy" is a fact of life now. My wife drives a Japanese car and the out board on my Stratos is a Yamaha... But I just don't like the fact that we are becoming a nation full of marketers and service providers. The phrase "Made in America" means something very important to me and I'm really surprised that so many of us are willing to pay a little less for something made by a Godless Communist in China..... I understand those words are inflammatory and I apologize if they offend anyone but this is America!!! The brightest shining beacon of liberty on the planet and when I see us willingly surrender our manufacturing prowess to countries who oppress their people I get a little upset. In my opinion we should have the entire market share for outdoor sports like Bass Angling. I have beat this horse to death now and will stand down. I appreciate all of the candid feedback. Respectfully, Thirtysixit
  12. A lot of great replies here. Thanks to all. It's good to get another angler's perspective on the source of our equipment.
  13. Tuning a your baitcaster reel is an art form... I'm just saying. I've had issues after changing lines and lures. spend some time working on the reel and its settings before you give up. I bet you have some success. Respectfully, Thirtysixit
  14. I've become rather obsessed with fishing with as many American made products as I can. I've listed my Favorite American made fishing stuff below. I've had great luck fishing with all of it. What do you think? I'd love to see the most American sport there is become more dependent on American made products... I don't know about you. Rod: Falcon (Low Rider, Cara, Original) Reel: None available (Heart Breaking), I use Quantum because they are based in Tulsa OK, which is my home town. Line: Berkley (Big Game Mono, Vanish FC) Hard Baits: Norman (Little N, Deep Little N, Middle N, DD14, DD22) and Bill Lewis Rat-L-Trap 1/2OZ Soft Plastics: Gene Lerew and Zoom What do you think we can do as Patriotic anglers to ensure that American workers will still be producing our tools for the years to come? Respectfully, Thirtysixit
  15. If you are looking for the best prices than t a c k l e w a r e h o u s e . c o m is your best bet. Shipping for orders over 50$ is free and if you are a military veteran than you can get 10% off everything. They have incredible Black Friday sales and they just had a great Memorial Day sale as well. I've compared their prices to Bass Pro (which I love as well) and TW is usually at least one dollar cheaper per item on Norman Crankbaits. Its worth a look to save some money for sure. Take a look ant let me know what you think. Also, they appreciate their military veterans..... Always a good thing. Respectfully, Thirtysixit
  16. Rod: Falcon Cara T7 Reaction Cast 7' Medium Composite Reel: Quantum Smoke SL150HPT 6.6:1 Line: 12lb Berkley Big Game Mono Bait: Norman Little N Everything is made in America except the reel......... The Norman baits are incredible and come in great paint jobs. Respectfully, Thirtysixit
  17. 12lb Big Game for all of my cranking reels. I might think about putting 10ld Vanish on my deep cranking reels later this summer but Big Game is the real deal when it comes to price and performance for me. Respectfully, Thirtysixit
  18. I have recently switched all of my cranking reels over to 12lb Big Game. It casts a mile and is extremely strong. I made a bad cast into a tree the other day and actually got frustrated that I couldn't break the line off. I had to take the time to move to the tree and slowly unwind the mess I made with my poor cast. For the price there is not a better mono in my opinion. I absolutely love it. Respectfully, Thirtysixit
  19. I can't thank you guys enough for your candid feedback. This is amazing!
  20. Sam, Much appreciated!!!!!!
  21. Falcon Rods are amazing. Their Original "Herm" is a great all around rod and the "Lizard Dragger" will give you a heavier option that still has a fast tip. 99$ for each on TW. Also, for all you vets out there TW will give you a 10% discount for your honorable service to our nation. Falcon's are all that I fish with and I absolutely love them. Think about supporting an American company that still employs American's in the most American sport there is. Everyone else is outsourcing to China while this company is risking it all because they are Patriots. Give Falcon a shot. I give you my personal guarantee you will not be disappointed in their "Original" line of rods. -Brandon All The Way!!! Airborne!!!
  22. Outstanding Gents! I can't wait to make my way out there. I'll let you know how I do. It's always a challenge to fish a new lake but but when you finally start to make some progress there are few things more rewarding! Again, thank you very much. -Brandon
  23. I'm going to be moving to Richmond VA soon and I'm interested in information on fishing Lake Gaston. Is it easy to navigate on? Is it a good crankbait lake? Do the water levels fluctuate drastically depending on the time of year? Any info would be greatly appreciated.. -Brandon
  24. I'm also on the market for a Mansfield Falcon Original. My favorite bait is the Norman Deep lil N. Any thoughts on a 3/8oz medium runner and this rod's performance? Thanks!
