  1. Pretty much what everyone else has said. Be respectful and don't be obnoxious. Try to learn something new and have fun doing it.

I would definately use a big thumper blade. They are easy to create commotion at slow speeds and bass love them. It a dinner bell to slow bass.
  3. When I used to visit my dad in South Carolina, we would go to carp rodeos at night and it was always a blast. Never have caught them other than that
  4. Yesterday was my best day yet. 30-40 LMB in about 6 hours time. Smallest was about 1.5# and the largest right around 4#. For the year around 125
  5. Set it hard and high is what I was always told.
  6. Fished my first tournament at wheeler. I assume you will launch from Ingalls. If this is the case I would head due north then west until you see it open up a bit, this is the flats. It runs several miles. Start there at first light throwing top water around the grass. When that slows down pay attention to your ff and throw spinners around the thousands of stumps located there. By mid day you should have gotten far enough west to see numerous docks. Work them well. My best came from there at this time. If you want to make an early long run head out of Ingalls and run wide open west, several miles past the nuclear plant and look for the Lilly pads. White spinners worked best for me. Hope this helps
  7. Not sure if anyone is interested or not but I may have have room for a non-boater for all 3 days of the tournament. I will not know for sure until the weekend if I will have space. My fishing partner bailed at the last minute leaving me scrambling to find someone to go. I found another guy but he does not know if he can get his schedule worked out or not. If he cannot, I am willing to take a stranger on good faith to be a co-angler with me. May be able to pick someone up on the way but be aware primitive camping is my drug of choice. I will furnish all fuel. Just offering an opportinuty to someone that loves to fish and may not have a boat of their own. Like I said, I will not know for sure until this weekend.
  8. I came across a nice deal a few weeks ago. Found a 1 owner 98 hyrda-sports 185 with a faststrike 150 for only 6500. Loan value was 8500 so I borrowed 7500 to buy new electronics for the console. if you look long enough and be patient, you can still find deals
  9. Here in MS is the same. They can search anything they wish, including your home freezer
  10. I'm in for one rod for each over 5# and I will donate 10% of whatever I take home at the Splash tournament in a few weeks (if I win anything)
  11. Thanks a lot Wayne. I sure would have never known. Is it an even exchange or is the other extra?
  12. I think I am going to drop the extra $100 and order the 859ci HD DI Combo. I think I would be disappointed if I didnt. Is the imaging as good as I am hoping with this unit?
  13. Hey guys I am new here and I am looking for advice. I just bought a new to me 19ft Hydra-sports. I just ordered the Humminbird 798 to place on my console and now I am looking for a unit that will compliment that one on the bow. I would like to stay around $600 for it. Less it fine, a little more is fine as well. What would you guys suggest? Thanks
