  1. How large of a handle do they put on the JDM version? Ive grown really fond of the 100MM they had on the old Zillion.
  2. Was thinking about updating my old Zillion TWS 100XXS to something more recent that's lighter and palms better. Obvious choice was the new Zillion but I'm concerned about strain on the Aluminum main gear they put in the JDM version. Is anyone using this reel for high strain techniques? Can Aluminum main gears withstand the pressure? Is it even worth upgrading my Zillion 100XXS to a new reel for such techniques?
  3. I know it's a bit early for most to speak on the Ballistic MQ, but considering it now uses the Monocoque body and larger gear, wondering what the technological differences between the Certate and Ballistic MQ, other than the Certate being Japanese made.
  4. Is it alright to use no backing for braid, but instead weave it through the holes in the spool?
  5. I just think if i use it for frogging its not going to end well. It doesnt seem to have good backbone and Id rather sell it than risk the snap
  6. Nope i just needed a temporary cheap high speed reel for a trip because my SS broke.
  7. I bought it today at Dicks Sporting goods. It hasnt been used yet at all. Could i get store credit for the rod only?
  8. I recently bought the Pro max combo for the reel and found myself with a rod that had a plethora of bad reviews. Should I sell the rod before it snaps or use it anyways? Do other people have experience with this rod? it is the 7' MH version. Thanks!
  9. I need a flipping and pitching combo for under $100. I fish mostly heavy cover (Milfoil and Pads) up here in Minnesota. Would the Diesel be a good rod? if so which model? Any help is greatly appreciated.
  10. I feel split grip provides more comfort when casting.
  11. The only confirmed ratio so far is 5.3:1
  12. In the market for a new frog rod and was wondering if the Tatula 7'2" Heavy would be fine for frogging. I know they have one made for frogging but thats $20 more. Thoughts?
  13. Can i ask what duckett rod it was?
  14. Im in the same boat. Opened up a pond thats been closed by a beaver for 20 years and its very thick vegitation. Any help?
  15. Do you think a Tatula Type-R on a Duckett Ghost rod would be a good combo for froggin'? i got about $300 to make a good reliable combo. Also, Feel free to suggest different combos that would be good for frogging. EDIT: How about a Type-R with a Duckett Micro Magic?
