  1. Sometimes you just throw it out there and they will hit it after the initial splash-down... My guess is that bass was watching your lure and when you slightly twitched it you caused him to react.
  2. I couldn't agree more.
  3. cool pics, glad you had a good time!
  4. I agree with Sam about it being gimmick tackle but Im gonna say I like pitching and flipping with bait casters a lot more.
  5. I wanna grab one too but TW doesn't get them till the end of September I believe...
  6. Today I hooked a bass and he jumped and spit the hook, when my bait came flying back at me my line made 14 Egyptian Pile Driver knots up and down my rod, I just cut the line and got on with fishing...
  7. Why would a company replace a rod that broke from a user error for free? Fantastic company if they let you get a replacement for a third of the price.
  8. That's new ^^^ haha
  9. Nice fish! You found the honey hole, perfect place for skipping baits
  10. I'll take it off your hands for 8$... Haha kidding aside what reel is that? I'd have bought it for 7$ too...
  11. Zoom Fat Albert and Speed Craw, Rage tail Space Monkey and Rage Craw. Those are four great trailers, I like to just match the color of the skirt to the trailer but experiment and find out what works for you! My friend likes to use a green pumpkin trailer on a black jig and he does fine...
  12. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/138635-storing-soft-plastics/?fromsearch=1 a lot of older threads on this subject.
  13. I'm interested in water claritys affect on swimbaits too, it seems like lots of people would be throwing them in everything but you only seem them really popular on clear water lakes. I fish lakes with 1-3ft visibility and fish have no problem finding finesse soft plastics so I seriously doubt they would have any trouble finding a big ole swimbait cruising along... Especially one with those big ole thumping paddle tails! EDIT: Maybe it has something to do with the fact they were developed in the west on clear lakes
  14. I don't like fishing senkos weightless because you can't feel the lure, its like your fishing with air... So I tied on a 1/4oz weight and Texas rigged them and started killing mudfish! After spilling JJ's on my favorite jeans and throwing a tantrum I caught this one on the first cast!
  15. Are you skin hooking your plastics?
  16. I like yellow baits if that counts as a crazy color lol
  17. Nice! Good catfish
  18. Squarebill crankbaits! They can be deadly around hard cover like laydowns and stumps.
  19. Sounds like a fun lake to fish!
  20. Nice, could have had a fish fry! Should have filled the sink with dinks!
  21. Around here it's pretty normal, 3-5 other boats on the lake...
  22. I hate it when people act like idiots in front of kids...
