Catch and Grease

Bass are my favorite but besides them I love bowfin. My favorite place to fish for them is in the swampy areas around here...

I use swivels on spoons and inline spinners.

I've never had a bass get it while it was stuck but when I fish square bills bass get it as soon as you rip it out of a snag all the time!

I dont, why do that when you can just buy jigs without weed guards?

I've never did that for sure, but once I ran a square bill off a stump and got a strike and hooked the bass for maybe 5 seconds then after it got off reeled it in to fix the line and cast to the same spot and hooked another bass 15 seconds later.... Could have been the same bass... Probably wasn't, but that's the only time I think I might have

P-line floroclear isn't a real fluorocarbon though? I thought that was just a fluoro coated line?

No bait only catches big bass really... However jigs and big worms IMO help stop dinks and can catch huge bass, but I've caught dinks on 12" worms...

When people say fish "hook themselves" when cranking it just bothers me.... You'll be waiting along time if you wait for a fish to hook themselves on your crankbait lol you still need a hook set, just a different kind.

Thanks for the input guys, if I can save up 1000 that would be fantastic, if I go to the football game I won't be burdened with 100% of the cost because people will go with me so it won't be quite as expensive....

I like to use braid as backing as well but I use a uni to uni knot

When I'm fishing with someone that doesn't fish much I'm hoping that they have a good day, if they catch more than me then that's great and I don't mind lol I took some family to the lake around here and I didn't catch a single fish but managed to get them hooked into a couple each. To see their eyes light up and all the enjoyment they get is great.

I read a thread about scratching curados and I scratched my brand new tatula then I read a thread about fish swallowing crankbaits all the way to the back of the throat and said that never happens to me, boom happens the next day haha Read another thread about spilling JJ's and I said if your carefull it won't spill and I spill a whole jar the next day. It just happens, small fish will strike big cranks out of pure instinct. Using barbless trebles is up to you, it would make it easier on the fishs eyeballs if your worried about it. I hook bigger bass outside the mouth and foul hook them a lot too.

Lol I've always wondered if I could do that with jacks or bowfin, sometimes though I'll get my crank bit off by a jack and an hour or so later I'll see it float back up to the surface because he shook it out haha

I'll be staying in Wyoming Pennsylvania its just cheaper to fly from Jacksoville to Philly rather than valdosta Georiga to Wilkes barre airport. I'll just get a ride from valdosta to Jacksonville then from Philly to Wyoming

I'm young and I've never set foot in a passenger airplane but I want to go to Pennsylvania around Christmas to visit family and just go to Penn ( I've always wanted to go to Pennsylvania ) A round trip ticket is around 320$ Jacksonville to Philly, but then I would need money for all the other stuff like food, gas, etc... How much would be safe?? I'm thinking 500 atleast... Oh and I'll be staying for a week or week and a half staying at family's house. I also might want to go to a Pittsburgh steelers game if they are playing at Heinz while I'm there but that's even more money to consider... Its gonna be hard to save a whole lot considering the sports I play, and I'll have to tame the bait monkey and gear gorilla haha
