So, I'm fishing a man made reservoir in northern Cali. I get to my favorite spot just as the sun is coming up. And I see 3 HUGE bass creeping around the dock. So me and my brother start fishing immediately. And wouldn't you know it, I got a bite. We fought for 30 seconds, and then all I hear is *SNAP* Anyways, Moral of the story is: Don't get so excited about fishing that you mess up a double cinch knot.

I dont know if this has a name or not, but my dad taught me this. You just reel up you line until you can't anymore then you hold the line and pull back. and then you release your line. and it should come right out! Just wanted to share.

so, i was fishing in some really dense grass and i got snagged on a rock. i tried to just yank it out, and then a decent bass took it and dislodged it from the rock and i got my crankbait back. has this happened to anyone else?

so i was reading an article on the website about what you should have in your tackle box. I got to the part where it said that you should carry spare rod tips because yours might break. when i saw this i was like "pfft i never broke a rod tip before, that will never happen." A couple hours later at the lake, guess what ? yup, i tried to set the hook so hard my rod tip broke off. Thats what i get for being so oblivious to the fact that rods can break.

I was fishing at lake Sonoma when a huge bass cuts me off. About 10 minutes later i caught the same fish with my hook still in its mouth!

never leave a rod with live bait on off the side of the boat... thats how you lose rods. lol
