IMHO I think braided line is best for learning to use a baitcaster because it has little memory and is more forgiving when you backlash, as in it won't kink up and turn to junk like DVT mentioned

Anybody use flouro for your squarebills? Man I don't see how anybody can make the switch from braid to flouro... I spooled on some to try it out again but every time I end up not liking it, the first thing you notice is the loss of sensitivty and the second thing is line management and castability... I hate having it be perfectly straight in the beginning of the day and it looking like a phone cord after the trips over, if you don't have KVD line and lure you are screwed... I'm gonna keep it on for at least 10 more trips to see if I warm up to it but every time I try to like flouro I go back to braid.

There is always gonna be some bass in the shallows at some point in the day so you could try beating the snot out of the banks lol....

Never leave a hook in a fish if you can get it out.

Do you change the hooks on those Bombers? I find the ones that come with it a tad on the small side so I bump them up a size for better hook ups...

Just curious on how you know its the same fish you hut hooked.

What specific rod are you using that is a MF? I use a berkly cherrywood rod that is a 6'6 MF and it works good for my needs , but every company's MF will be different...

In the shallow lake I fish its the one bait I can count on to catch a bass everyday.

as long as the hook is not obstructing his ability to swallow food he should be fine... If its in there really good it can take a good while as in weeks to corrode out, if its just on his lip he may be able to shake it out or rub it out but if not it'll corrode eventually.

While what they did was not okay in any way remember they are just kids, and every kids gonna do stupid stuff eventually. Its the adults job to make sure they never do it again when they get caught doing it haha

I don't know if the scent does much... It may give you that extra second that they think your baits real but I mainly use it for the colors... Good stuff though
