  1. I've only recently started river fishing a few months ago but I've been doing good with white tubes...
  2. I've caught lots of bass in ponds on tiny beetlespin lures fishing for pan fish.... Pretty good sized ones too
  3. only if you put it where the bass are
  4. Have any of you guys used this jig? Do you like it? I bought two and they look good but the hook on them seems a little too compact. Like the shank is really short and the hook gap doesn't seem very wide... I fished them today for the first time and lost two good fish from them throwing the hook and I believe I got a good hook set, it may have just been a fluke and I'm not gonna give up on them just yet. whats yalls opinion on this jig?
  5. 1/4 oz
  6. Its pretty quiet compared to fighter jets but man they are still loud when they are flying just above tree tops.... At night you can go sit in the main lake channel and watch them shoot their 40mm cannons and it looks awesome
  7. I fish at banks lake which is next door to the moody air force base bombing range for A-10 THUNDERBOLTS doing their 40mm training and bombing practice every single day and they fly LOW over the lake and it almost makes your head explode how loud it is but the fish don't care....
  8. My best lure is a square bill crank...
  9. Search feature this was just discussed
  10. it seems like I've thrown a crank in every inch of that place besides the very middle because its hard to reach.... The 3lb bass I caught was on a square bill
  11. Hey guys I've been bank fishing a good size lake/pond 3 days in a row now and I only have one 3lb bass to show for it ... This lake has little to no cover besides some grass around the edges, I've used Carolina rigs and such to try to find underwater cover but have had no luck it seems like its just open water... How do you goes go about bank fishing lakes like this?? I'm not very good at bank fishing because I'm so used to being in a boat but my trolling motor is broke ATM...
  12. Clean em and see if it has eggs... Really only way I can tell.
  13. I like the cubs, the replay doesn't get used as much as it should... I like it
  14. when you start fishing you soon learn that toilet paper falls in the important things catagory haha
  15. I went to the doctor and he prescribed me a medicine called clonodine ( dunno if that's correct spelling ) its a blood pressure medicine I believe but it puts me right to sleep.
  16. Nice fish! Hope ya break that record some day again I was bank fishing today and caught a fish that I thought might be a new PB but I weighed it on the same scale and it was 2 ounces less... Didn't have a camera to take a picture sadly....
  17. Its fun talking to other people in there about fishin!
  18. Any color works as long as its yellow.
  19. sorry if I came off as trying to attack your reply... I just don't believe specific colors have much to do with bass bites.. Bright or dark and my favorite colors that's all I really think about now when I fish.
  20. That's probably the greatest reply in the history of bassresource hahaha
  21. Its not "too much" as in it will work, but I like a medium heavy for jigs not in heavy cover but I don't use jigs except for everyonce in awhile so don't mind me haha
  22. name some baits that have their own action... You always can work a bait differently. A ribbon tail worm can be swam, hopped on the bottom, dragged, put on a shakeg head, Carolina rigged, used as a top-water, etc... Every one having a different action. Even with crankbaits you can give the bait many different presentations Sure you can catch bass just chunkin and reelin but your gonna be missing out on fish. Senkos can also be rigged countless ways for different actions
  23. Every color is gonna catch a fish. Color is waaay less important than properly working a bait... Although some colors will work better than others under certain circumstances they all catch fish.
  24. It could very well have been one of these although I've never seen one "poke its head out" but have seen then roll on the surface. I have caught more bowfin with top water frogs than any other lure
  25. I use zoom flukes alot and some other "freshwater" soft plastics, I've also used booyah spinner baits with success in salt water
