Caught some good bass today on a red lipless crank, probably the last bass I'm gonna catch for a few weeks because of wrestling. Sucks because I'm just starting to figure the bass out, been catching lots lately on lipless and swim jigs! This was the last bass of the day...

Ya but you'll lose alot of braid when you snap it, with a leader you just lose the little but of flouro.

And if I made a 28/0 tomorrow it'd be the biggest size?? Heck what if I want to fish with a butchers hook? I don't think there is a "biggest hook"

Why not crank with straight braid? Only problem I've found with straight braid cranking is getting hung up is a pain because you can't break off, but if you have a good lure retriever then you will be fine. And in clear water I'll worry about line visibility when I'm not in thick cover and its a slow moving bait. If it ain't clear water then I'm not worried about line visibility at all.

3, 2, 1, 1/0, 2/0, 3/0 Is how the order would go. Small to large.

When your cranking with braid you need to realize its not gonna take as much force to set the hooks, just sweep the rod and reel just like with mono but a little softer....

Lol I honestly thought it was a typo, didn't expect Fluoro-Braid to be an actual thing... I've heard of heavy core sinking braids but none of the fluoro-braid mumbo jumbo...

I crank with braid, the 5XD hooks will be fine as long as your using the appropriate rod and your drag is set correctly.
