Pond Fishing
Sounds similar to one of the ponds I fish as well. Weightless flukes, chigger craws or t-rigged worms. I typically toss them on top the junk and twitch them back, letting them fall into any pockets of water along the way.

Geocaching
Yes, but not as often as I would like. The state park across the street has 22 hidden and I've found half of them. My goal is to find the rest this summer although I have been to some pretty neat parts of the park.

Why Do You Fish What You Fish?
I start with a worm or fluke almost every time because I have confidence in them. If I don't get a hit within the first 15 minutes or so I'll change up and try something else. My confidence comes from landing bass on these within the first 5 casts on many occasions.

Welcome Kyler. I spent a few years in the Quad Cities and fished the Mississippi quite often. Never did very well on it LOL.

New From Richmond, Virginia
Welcome Chris, it sounds like our pasts have a lot of similarities! I've already learned a ton here that has translated to a lot of bass.

Flukes Are Fun!
After catching a couple on a 7" worm, I decided to give a fluke a try. Hooked one on the first cast and ended up catching 10 more within the next hour. This may be my new best friend :-)

Derby City Says Howdy
What an awesome site! I've been lurking and reading for the past few days and have to applaud the members here, not only for their wealth of information, but also lack of drama I've experienced on other forums. I'm in my mid 50s and have been fishing off and on since a kid. About 10 years ago my interests changed and i got rid of all of my fishing gear. Just recently I've had the fire re-kindled, was given a small spinning outfit, bought my license and have managed to fish off the banks of some local ponds. Today I landed my first LM on a 7" green pumpkin Power Worm. Fun! Gregg Louisville, KY
