I'm buying a at croix mojo bass swimbait rod and it is rated for 1-4 oz lures. Is that the limit or could I throw up to 6-oz? I throw mostly spros and hudds and 1-4 just doesn't cut it for these lures.

Hey guys im going to b using my flipping and frogging rod for smaller swimbaits in the 1/2 to 1 1/2 oz range.What line do recommend for this combo? I was thinking about using 50 lb braid for the frogging and flipping combo and a fluoro leader for the swimbaits. Would this work? Thanks for the help

I like using mono for spinnerbaits because it floats so u can keep your spinnerbaits near the surface more easily. I use 12-16 lb sunline super natural depending on cover

I have 2 of these, one 5.4:1 and one 6.4:1. I use the 5.4:1 for crankbaits w/ 14 lb test fluoro and the 6.4:1 for spinnerbaits and topwaters with 16 lb mono. Great reel for the money, thinking about ordering 7.1:1!!

If you're in a float tube I would definitely suggest a shorter rod like a dobyns 663c or 664c
