  1. Welcome! I'll be in the southern tier fishing Chautauqua this weekend, we live in a state full of world class fisheries, enjoy!
  2. I'll sponsor you. I'll give you a $100 TW gift card to be used for whichever baits you want, if you wear a sublimated fishing jersey in all of your tournaments with my face on it. .....all kidding aside. I have experience dealing with sponsorships in the hunting industry, and the best advice I can give is to be different than the thousands of other people who are fighting for the same thing. Use social media, YouTube, Vimeo, get involved with the community, working with the next generation and teaching the sport, etc.....
  3. I have a tournament on Silver this year but have never fished it. Would love to get out there with you one day and put a hurt on em!
  4. That is an awesome looking rod, and great fish! Can't wait to get the boat out on the river and start hammering smallies.
  5. That's a great fish man, congrats!!
  6. ^^^Could you tell we fish the same water for smallies
  7. I fish team tournaments every Tuesday night with my bass club. We don't let people in our club very often, and people like this would be the reason why. We fish for cash, but it's supposed to be fun, none of us are fishing high stakes. It's like playing poker with your buddies for $20, its just for fun at that point, so you don't invite the people that act like that guy! I hope (and would have to assume they will) the rest of your tournament experiences are much better than this one!
  8. Green pumpkin 3.5" Strike King coffee tube or a zoom super salty 3.75" in white pearl
  9. Another vote here for a pit boss buzzed on the top
  10. I made it a couple days at least... Curado I Reel Covers Plano Boxes Nu-Tech Chatterbaits Booyah Spinnerbaits G Force trolling motor cord Strike King S11 Glasses
  11. http://flippindocks.tripod.com/ This is the club I fish in, Stout Rod Bassers of Niagara County.
  12. Hey guys, I'm taking a trip with the family to florida and will be an hour and a half from Okechobee. I was thinking about finding a guide based on your recommendations, and was wondering what the fishing is like in May. I've never fished fresh water down there so this will be my first time bassin' outside of New York! As a side note, I would like to take my own gear and lure fish. Thanks
  13. Funny story, I actually pulled one of my grandfather's old crappie lures out of a tackle box he left me and went pond fishing behind my house with it (fairly large for pond standards), and it got bit off by a pike back in march. I went out on the pond for the 4th of July with a buddy to have a few beers and fish, and I caught that crappie lure ON the spinnerbait I was throwing through the split ring of one of the crappie lures' trebles! Could not believe what kind of luck I had to have even got the SB hook through that split ring, but needless to say I was thrilled. That lure will never go back out on the water.
  14. Pros: Don't have either of them Cons: They aren't Lew's or Shimano's
  15. *** Crazy Jig with a Zoom Fat Albert grub or a Power Team Lures 3.6 Hammer shad. Green pumpkin/blue, white, or their smoke shad color, trailer varies.
  16. Fishing in Erie out of the Buffalo area, and fishing it quite frequently, if you know where to go based on weather patterns, you can get 5-7lber's in 5 fow and down in 30-40 fow during that time frame you are looking to fish.
  17. Awesome video man enjoyed that a lot! I have tons of footage I've been putting off that needs to get cut down, this final product makes me a little more motivated.
  18. I also like the Aaron's magic color a lot as well as SXE Shad and MMII, and have had good luck with power team lures finicky tickler in bloody wiggler and kitchen sink the last few weeks.
  19. I just fished a tournament Sunday with my club on Lake Erie. It is a completely different monster to fish for smallies in these bodies of water than what a lot of people are used to. After a rough morning start we hit a limit of largemouth, all of which were culled with smallies, because like you said, they looked like baitfish...
  20. I couldn't tell you if the blanks are different or no, but I absolutely LOVE my 7' HF Maestro 2 I got from Rapsody. I had to support a local business and I don't regret it. I will definitely be buying more rods in the Hot Rod series and another Maestro 2.
  21. Welcome. Another WNYer right here and plenty more on the forum.
  22. If you could send me one also I would greatly appreciate it! ciminob@canisius.edu
  23. Just read through this and I have been seriously considering doing this exact thing, but Denea lives a half hour away from me, there has to be better ways to go about this now.
  24. Try google. I know that's what I did and came across more clubs than I knew existed in the western New York area.
