Beaver Style Mold
Yum bought the design, but they still have the 3.5 and 5.5? So they are just selling the rest of what they have built or did they just buy rights to the one size?

Beaver Style Mold
I hadn't seen the 4.2 BT bombs, I looked em up and found a few used ones but they were old posts...we would like to purchase a 4 cavity if anybody has one for sale

Beaver Style Mold
Been there, done that, got the T-Shirt, and could care less to do it again. My dad is a machinist, and without access to a mill where we can do what we like to call "Government Jobs" its a pain in the ass. Let alone, the materials almost cost as much as some of the molds you can buy.

Beaver Style Mold
I'm not looking to rip off Mr. Moore with his beaver patent, like the many posts we have all seen trying to build his baits. People are always trying to copy his baits, and they always want to copy the body of the bait and then put a different tail on them. In my opinion, I'm more concerned about a slim profile tail like his baits have. BassTackle makes a BT bomb, but you only get the choice of the big size or the smaller. Any suggestions on a "Beaver" style bait with a slimmer tail profile?

We have experimented with a little bit of the kool-aid mix, just the little paper packet deals.

Aluminum Mold Design
Best advice I ever got with deciding on layout of molds was talking to the local mold builder. He builds molds for hard plastic things, and high pressure injection, but he still understands where to put runners, and where to not put runners to prevent some baits not filling completely.

Rod Building As Addictive As Everything Else ?
Most defiantly, get some jig and soft plastic molds...that'll take up some time...its what we did all winter too. I found myself fixing around 35 rods for guys in the area also

Weedless Tube Jig Mold
Is there such a thing? We have this little "Tackle Business" and we pretty much have one local guy that keeps us busy with ordering stuff, cause he is one of those guys, if he catches fish on one lure, he will need another 200 of them lol He is interested in a weedless tube jig, and I haven't seen one on the internet. Any ideas guys? Im not above buying a used mold or something and doing some modifying. Most are also thinking that it would be kind of dumb to buy a mold for one guys order...well, the guy im speaking of heard about 5 years back that Reaction Inovations was going to close up shop...he bought 100 BAGS off corndog color beavers hahaha he still has 3 two gallon bags full of them

Looking To Start Pouring Jigs
We are selling a few jigs per year...and with my math...we have to sell 100 jigs at $3 to make buying the molds worth our time...we sell jigs and blade baits...and when I ordered stuff for the blade baits, the hooks that are used for the mold that we were going to get were $12 per 25... We are paying $16 for 25 jigs already painted, ready for a skirt... just my two cents(Kind of piggybacking on what Jiggin said.) Barlows is a good joint too! They are a bit behind schedule now, cause they were held up with that recent snow and ice storm. Quick story with them, my credit card was compromised on the internet in the middle of an order, lucky for me, they called me and asked for a new credit card number, instead of throwing our order in the trash, and putting us another week behind on a jig order we had. Great group down there... Im in the southeast corner of Iowa, and ive seen orders ordered Monday evening be on my doorstep by Thursday afternoon.

Picking Up Members Through Bass Resource
We are having all kinds of ideas coming in to the club about how to gain more members, and I would like to make it known that we have just gained our first member through this website. We would like to welcome Jig4Pigs to the Lake Cooper Anglers Assn! So keep that in mind people...you never know what you say on here might gain you (or loose you!)

Bass Club In Southeast Ia
You must have been on the forum...the forum has kind of went by the wayside, because a club with about 25 active members isn't enough to keep a forum going... but the website is up to date, my partner that I make baits with runs that. But like I said, we will have a meeting this Thursday the 19th, we would love to see ya there

Netcraft Self Injected Worm Molds?
My opinion, and I did the same thing you did! I had 5 of the molds your talking about, and my suggestion is to buy a used injector from somebody, and get one of the $30 essentials series from do it baits if you want to go the cheap route. I tried the molds your talking about...and I don't think I ever made a good bait with them. It is so much easier when we spend the $75 or so to get an injector and mold...now we have about 12 molds and multiple injectors...good group of guys on here too...lot of expertise that helped me get started
