yeah, i'd like a red one too. i have a stock orange one,and custom painted pixzilla. caught my pb on the stock pixy. 9 #er! i just really like the whole alphas/sol/pixy platform a lot. i have 15# smackdown braid on the pixzilla now. havent used mono in a looooong time.

i think THE diawa you should try is the pixy. same size as sol, but shallower spool. finesse MACHINE!!! make it a "pixzilla" and it's just awesome!!!

i think it might be because quantum doesnt really make a high end "enthusiast" reel. do they make a good quality product? yeah, sure they do. but nothing comparable to say, a steez, calais, tweaked millionaires, conquest, etc. Don't even get me started on megabass reels! LOL i'm sure kvd's name does sell some reels, and he IS the jordan of bass fishing without a doubt. if he ever switched to daiwa or shimano....game over lol.

read in an old field & stream magazine once about bats sometimes mistaking braided line for insects. sure enough. cast out, what the heck IS that. a bat had gotten snagged in my line. just glad it got off by itself! lol

well, i guess we'll have to agree to disagree about burning through clothing i'm bald too. sun burned noggin is noooo fun lol. it seems to be one of those wacky topics that every other search on the internet say something different. yes, no, maybe so.

i wasnt arguing the kind of material . to me, cotton's for after you finish sweating etc, and shower off. then nothing feels like a good cotton t shirt. i own some of the spf 1000 shirts etc. they're awesome. just think it's a marketing thing to include "spf" in the description of the clothing. sort of like "antibacterial" soap ya know? like what soap isnt? :DD sounds like it could be a job for mythbusters lol. is there any way possible to tan while wearing a cheap cotton t shirt!

i get the whole clothing covering the skin thing, the difference wearing a good "boonie" type hat and not is HUGE. what i dont get, is people saying this shirt, hat, etc is spf 20, 30 whatever. i've never heard of anybody ever getting sunburnt underneath a regular t shirt LOL. new to this forum, i lllllike it!
