Walmart Jimmy Houston Camo Rod
Ya at walmart the berkley lightning shock is like $40. If it isn't the same price there show them online. I would replace all my rods with the berkley lightning shocks but I like to keep variety.

Need A New Frogging Reel.
Hey guys I need a new reel for my topwater baits. I have a few selected that I'd like y'all to compare and vote if you've used them. 1. Lews Tour MG Speed Spool 2. Lews LFS Speed Spool 3. Daiwa Tatula Or any others you can suggest me to buy. Id like to spend $100. I can get a tatula at Walmart for $100, an LFS SS, at TWH for $100 and a Tour MG for $100 off this forum. So let me know what you think, out of these. I have a speed spool already it's just the regular version. The aluminum frame one, not the laser. I don't know if I should try something somewhat more different than another lews. But I like the speed spool it's just too heavy it seems for frogging and it's a 6 gear. Thanks guys.

Yes it's a pretty good reel. I tryed one it's smooth casting, but the drag isn't the best. But for $49 is say yes.!

Florida Guys Check In Here.
I just got back into fishing and am seriously fishing now. I got back into it in March so I don't know anything about the colder weather. Can you still fish bass in Florida during the colder weather?

Can Anyone Help With Some Florida Pond Fishing?
All of my Florida pond fish have been caught by doing: 1. Casting a topwater lure a foot away from the shoreline and retrieving it along the shoreline. Zoom horny toads are the only frogs that work for me right now. Not really any hollow body frogs work. 2. This is the MAIN way to catch them right now. Find a good tree in the water. Or bush. You'll most likely see a stick coming out of the water in the middle of the pond. That's a good place for bass to hide. I usually get on a boat and flip or drop a worm, or a senko. Just twitch it a little and let it float right in front of their face. They will strike very hard so be cautious of that strike and set the hook hard. I usually use Alurring Baits Trick Sticks, or Zoom Trick Worms. Hope this helps.

Florida Guys Check In Here.
Well I went out. Didn't catch anything. Had about a 5 pounder jump on my bait and pulled my rod into the water. I saved the rod but the fish was gone. My friend caught 2 bass. One on topwater and one on a worm. This new pond is going to be my goto spot from now one. Just because of the topwater success rate. Might go back out tonight for some frogging. Maybe not. Let's see

Florida Guys Check In Here.
Well I'm going out with my brothers friend today on a new big pond, well at least new to me, and I I'm gonna use my usual baits. Chatterbait, senko, fluke, frog. He says frogs, and toads work pretty well there. So we'll see how it goes.

i have had no luck with topwater lately. probably because topwater isn't very successful at my lake i fish. but any tips on topwater? i have been using worms and senkos and was catching them right and left. and then i switched to a lunker pond and then came back and nothing was working. i switched to flukes and they worked for a couple days and now chatter baits, spinnerbaits, texas rigged worms, t-rigged senkos, and t rigged flukes don't work. I'm mainly casting up under a road tunnel that has some bass holes in it. i also have access to a bunch of lilies but no topwater bites. haven't ever caught anything topwater yet actually.

Abu Garcia Orra S Vs Penn Fierce
Hey guys. So my dad really likes my Penn Fierce I have so i gave it to him for his birthday. I also love my fierce. So I need to get a new spinning reel. I have basically decided on a veritas for the rod. I really like the fierce as you know and i like the look of the Orra S and its also on sale for the same price the fierce is. So i need to decide between those two. Let me know any other reels that would possibly beat out either of these. Thanks guys

Tatula Hd, Tatula Type R, Tatula
Hey guys. I have found that the tatula can be found for about $100 and the type r being about $150. You can also buy a tatula Hd for $200. I am really just looking at the tatula and tatula hd. But we can throw in the type r too. Is it really worth the extra $100 for the new hd? Not sure what all of the features do so if someone could explain that'd be great. Is the type r worth the extra $50 or is the tatula hd worth the extra $100? I really want a tatula but I'm not sure which one to get. I've be using a lot of spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, topwater frogs, and worms. So that's what I basically use. I will most likely use mono or half mono, half braid as a leader. It will be paired with a *** *** black or duckett ghost. Thanks in advance.

Daiwa Coastal Exceler?
I think it may just be the saltwater edition exceler. But I felt it in academy and it might just be my next buy. Probably a tatula tho.

Daiwa Coastal Exceler?
Hey I saw a coastal version of the exceler at academy and really like it. I want to see if anyone has bought one and what they think about it. I've seen a coastal version of the zillion too. Is it just a corrosion resistant version for saltwater? Or is there more too it?

New Baitcast Rod
I got the *** black. I think it was good decision. Thanks guys!

New Baitcast Rod
Ya the benefit from the Excel II is it can cast lighter lures. It's a 1/4-1. And it's 7' which I prefer over the 6' 7". Also the silver on the *** just drives me crazy for some reason. But before I buy the lamiglass, I want someone who has owned or does own one to give me their opinion.
-
New Baitcast Rod
Ya I know. I was just mentioning that. Because you stated the medium. And I need a medium heavy. I'll probably just go with the 6' 7" MH *** Black. Thanks for the help. I'll just keep taking input until tomorrow night.

New Baitcast Rod
Also I forgot to add that I'm going to use mostly 1/2 oz lures. Like spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, and jigs. So ya I might just go with the ***. But keep the input coming, I've got until the 8th when the sale ends.

Have you tried the Fenwick HMX? I'm going to be picky. I just don't wanna get something, not like it, and have to be that guy that returns everything. Ya know? I just wanna go through all of my options at TW
