  1. 2013 PSE Brute X puts the hammer down!
  2. Zoom also makes horns toad hooks. It's a simple twist lock EWG hook. Rig it like that and reel over and around cover. Color doesn't matter, at least all the places I fish. Great bait and has a wide range of size that will eat it!
  3. Just thought I'd offer it up to you guys first... I've got a 1000 yard roll of 12# seagar invizx flouro I'd sell for $65.Full roll never used
  4. This is like dangling crack in front of a junkie!! Killing me!
  5. Sounds great! Thanks for the tip! What color spook? I usually throw a white or clear one and have pretty good luck.
  6. Lol. He just can't keep them down and doesn't swing hard enough . I on the other hand would love to weigh in the winning fish in the first hour of either day from top water. Lol
  7. Ya, the clear water doesn't scare me down there. I've had great success on that end of the lake. I've also got some good spots up the Gravois. If it's cloudy I'll throw a buzz all day the first day. It's a big fish bait an in this tourney, that's the key. It's always a mental game to adjust myself from just looking for 5 fish and then a big bite, to just a big bite all day. Can me mentally draining. The guy in the back of the boat will be fishing jigs and t rigs under docks the entire time. He can seem to keep a top water fish stuck for some reason???
  8. I'll be on the lower end of the lake but will also be making runs to the gravious arm. I'll know more when I practice Friday. Depends on weather, if the dam is generating, etc. Counting on a good buzz or spook morning bite but also not afraid to put a c&c custom to work
  9. One week until big bass bash at LOZ! I'm losing my mind!
  10. Just shows you can't get to comfortable. Always have to step out into new styles, baits and areas. Fishing history/memories can only work do long....
  11. That's why it's called fishing and not catching. Greg Hackney said this sport is the toughest, pin you on the ground and kick you, mental mind warp game he has ever seen. I agree 100%
  12. I really feel like it should be checked... If that fish only weighed 2.40 I'd be surprised... Maybe the drop chain on the scale got bunched up???
  13. I stay around the alohana resort area. Targeting docks with brush, rock transitions. Back up plan is, as always, chase the shad up river.
  14. My wife told me she isn't even going to talk to me until after I get back. Just about all that is running thru my mind at this point
  15. Yes as well as bladed jigs, jerk baits, jerk baits and did I mention JERK BAITS!?!?
  16. 8# straight seagar. Never have had a problem and sensitivity and control are amazing.
  17. It's been years but pb&j, black blue jigs. 10" worms. Good luck!
  18. My PB was caught on the outer edge of a beaver dam, using the deeper tunnel to ambush. Came of a pb&j jig and craw trailer.
  19. Pretty sure it's Thursday 9/11 at 7pm.
  20. Congrats!!!!
  21. Use cheap twin tail grubs as jig trailers and stuff while fun fishing. Break out the rage and other expensive stuff on tournament day.
