Our farm ponds are loaded with them. From baseball size to bigger than basketball size. By little bros like to catfish and the play hell on them. Usually grab 3-4 buddies, and thin them down with 22's. Once a year does the trick for our ponds

Good looking fish guys. Was hoping to make it out fishing with Tinberg today but had a boiler go down at work. Got it up and going and had a sharp pain at the bottom of my spine. Long story short, OMC found a cyst on my lower spine and will be talking surgery options Monday. Might end my fishing season earlier than I wanted this year

For reel, I like high speed for the exact reason mentioned above. You are constantly making slack in your line and you need to lose that as quick as possible for both applications.

Can you clarify on the cut off?

I like to add just a touch of weight right under the nose of the jerkbait, or on the front hook to make it suspend nose down also.

While I agree with you 100% about never stop learning, I disagree with the rest of your statement. Why learn cursive when (for better or for worse) it's being phased out. What will you ever do that would be a substantial life changer with cursive? If you want to learn things then go for a second language, maybe even some trade skills. Hell... Learn how to scrapbook, because sadly, that's more valuable than cursive is today.

I have pretty good luck on a yo-yo retrieve.

Try a black buzz and alter retrieves like stated earlier. If that doesn't work, order some bladed jigs from Bluebasser86. That Big Head Wobbler will get them to eat I promise!
