  1. Bushnell dusk to dawn series are great also
  2. You uncle named uncle SI by chance? Lol. Man her looks like him! Congrats on the kill.
  3. I've caught them, and speared them (gigged). Don't laugh at me, the easiest way to catch them, is a crappie rod with 8# test with a crappie hair jig on it. Dabble it around them and WAM!!!!! Been doing that for 10+ years now.
  4. Paca chunk Jewel Eakins craw
  5. Sweet! My wife actually offered to go get my stuff I was wanting to get this year. ( huge brownie points for her) I told her I didn't want her going out by herself with all the crazies out. Will be online shopping this year as well.
  6. Not only do they look sweet but they can take a freaking beating and just keep going. Quality components, and made for flat out catching fish! I've dropped all other jigs and bladed baits and won't throw anything else.
  7. Any local shop near my neck of the woods (before I moved) carried old outdated crap. If they had anything decent it was 2x what you would pay at the big box stores. The only business the local shop even got was on catfish bait and live bait.
  8. I haven't subscribed but at $10 a year what could it hurt? Probably lose that under the drivers seat.
  9. I know someone wants this PQ!!!!
  10. I prefer C&C Custom Baits Big Head Wobbler to both. You can beat the crap out of them, slow roll them or burn them. Great quality and made by guys that live for fishing!
  11. Not too bad. Still numb. She gave me a monstrous pain pill script, but haven't had to take any. Worse part is my throat from the tube.
  12. Prayers her way brother. God is great all the time!
  13. Thanks man. Out and doing good. Tired and throat hurts from that d**n tube though. Thanks for the thoughts guys!
  14. In pre-op now guys. Text is better. Internet signal is crap here.
  15. Not that at all. Found some more of the diawa rods I use.
  16. Jigs are sold. 17. I'd sell rod an reel for $90 if someone takes before friday. Or would pair on the falcon original that's on it for $110. Could buy the falcon from me for $70
  18. This. Be consistent. You don't have to win every tourney, but being in top 10 always helps. From what I've hear people talk about, and from what I've read, your fishing skills (oddly enough) have little to do with being successful with sponsors. Public relations (public speaking, community service, living a smart, reputable life style), marketing/sales are all huge factors. Good luck on your quest and thank you for your service!
  19. I agree. We use to own German Short-Hairs and quail hunt all the time in South East Kansas. It's just a joke now. Odds are definitely against them. Coyotes, hawks, turkeys, disappearing habitat, harsh winters with worse than normal ice. If they survive all that, then they have to deal with the idiots that drive around and road hunt, find a group nestled together in a hedge row, and pot shoot them in one shot. Also the people that find a covey with dogs, but chase it down until they kill most of them, rather than just taking 1-3 and moving on. Don't get me wrong, they can still be found, but not like they used to be. I remember busting multiple coveys of 20-30 birds in one section. Now... if you find 1 covey with 6 birds... be happy.
