Yup, just hold them by the back legs and smack them against something hard. Pretty much the easiest, cleanest and cheapest way. Also, if you save the bodies and you like to catfish, makes pretty good catfish bait.

I use 15 #fluoro, a 7' MH rod and a burner ratio reel. If I'm fishing real nasty stuff I go to 20# and a heavy 7' rod.

I've also marinated in orange juice. Takes a lot of the "game" taste out. As others have said, bacon, cheese, jalapeño, and a grill can make anything edible!
