Junior World Bassmaster Championship- Less than a
Thanks guys! Well, if I had to choose one pro, it would probably be Ike or Swindle or Martens. I know that all of them can catch some serious spotted bass, and the lake will play into their techniques. I wont be dissapointed at all with anyone! They aren't called pros for no reason..haha I know I will learn a great deal of information, and it should be a great experience. Ben God Bless

Junior World Bassmaster Championship- Less than a
Thanks fellas! Yes, when they are showing the adult classic, they usually have a few 10 minute sections about the Junior event.....so hopefully I might make it on ESPN2. Just being there and hanging out with the pros is going to be a life-changing event Ben

Junior World Bassmaster Championship- Less than a
Hey guys! I will be leaving for Birmingham, Alabama in less than a week for the Junior World Bassmaster Championships. I am representing the great state of Maryland, and competeing against 43 other jr. contestants in the older division (14-18) that qualified Worldwide. I look forward to represent the forum, and hope that I am able to fish to the best of my ability. It will be a GREAT experience and I will be sure to share all of the pictures and details from the tournament and the Classic Expo! Thanks for all of your support! Ben God Bless

Mark Zona
Zona is just a naturally funny guy.....hes got a great presence.......and sometimes I find myself laughing when I am watching a fishing show?? Since fishing is life or death in my book......its nice to see someone make it light-hearted ;D he reminds me of a football announcer, and I think its a good direction for the competative side of Bass fishing.....

Why do people booze it up and drive???
Nothing to do with driving, but 2 of my uncles and 1 grandfather have died from Alcohol Poisoning, basically suicide through drinking. Now, I'm only 16, but believe me when I say that high school is full of drungs and drinking. I get ragged on every day for not coming to the big party......getting trashed and playing beer pong, but I'm not traveling down the road I have seen two of my realtives take. I've never touched the stuff..... I'd rather lose my popularity than my life..... for all you young guns..........DONT'T DO IT............ Ben

Maryland- Triadelphia Reservoir
Hey, sorry for the slow reply: The adult clubs volanteer their boats, and serve as boat captains during all of the tournaments requiring boats. The Classic Qulaifiers will be the boat captains down at the JWC! They run the main motor, but the kids run the trollin motor. As of now I am trying to get a few more sponsors, then I will be using ALL of my money to get new gear and whatnot. I want to make sure everything is perfect come the big event! Thanks for your support! Ben

Your # 1 rod choice
They are a relatively new company, but believe me, Ken (owner) values his customer opinions and realtions more than anything. There is no way he would ever change his policy like. If you call him 702 395 2173, you will understand why soo many people like him. Hes just one cool, freindly guy. he'd be glad to answer any questions/ suggestions you have about the company. ben

Finish Peeling off
Word of advice: if you call and they tell you they cant do anything about it (unlikely): Still send the rod into shamano, and they will replace it. I called in and they told me a rod was out of warranty. I sent it in anyway and got a free one in the mail. Just a head up Ben Dziwulski

Maryland- Triadelphia Reservoir
Ok, thanks for the warning. I think I might give it a shot. Yes ITS TRUE! I am really excited to have qualified out of about 50 MD jr Anglers. I am hoping that I can make some new publications before the tournament- Anyone know a writer for a local paper??????? I am making huge preperations, and I hope I can get on some fish. Win or lose it will be an amazing experience! Ben Dziwulski

Thanks for the support Stiperone! I think I might try Conowingo, are gas motors allowed? I have a 7.5hp to put on the boat. If not, I have sufficient electric motors. I really need to keep fishing so that I am not rusty for the Junior World Championships in Alabama!!!!! We should organize an official BassResource.com meeting at a local reservoir. It would be nice to share info and go fishing with each other. Ben Dziwulski

Maryland- Triadelphia Reservoir
Thanks, that looks alot better now. Reallly? a tournament trail? That would be amazing, even though I would get my butt KICKED. There are some people who fish the reservoirs daily, and absolutely tear them up. Jerry Sauter and Craig Walrath are two fine examples. The only thing holding me back is my boat. I woule get run over by most of the guys with big old dual Ray Electrics on their transom. I am mad that the reservoirs will be close in less than a week ANYONE KNOW WHERE YOU CAN FISH DURING THE WINTER FROM A BOAT? AROUND HERE?? I really wish they would leave the reservoirs open until they are frozen, because I know that they will be plenty fishable all through Christmas and New Years. Ben ps- i cant wait to see everyone out on the water during spring, we should have a bassresource fun tournament/ get together. I know that there is information to be shared that would benefit all of us.

Portable GPS for the JWC
Anyone know of a GPS unit that I could use for the Junior World Championships? I want to be able to mark waypoints of all the spots I am finding on maps when I am here in MD- not actually sitting on the water- is this possible? So that when I get on the water, I will have some sort of direction to head, and know where those nice spots are. I have a wide price range, lets try to keep it 450$ and under though. I will hopefully get the cash for christmas. what I want (I don't know if these are possible): - I want to be able to look at a map over christmas break, and program waypoints based on longitude and latitude, saving them onto the GPS unit & have them programmed and ready to find when I am on the water at the JWC (hundreds of miles away from MD, where I initially punched in the numbers) -Portable- I wont be mounting it to the boat Its late, and this might not make any sense , but let me know if you guys have any expertise or advice pertaining to Global Positioning Systems I really think the use of GPS will help me level the playing field with the competitors who fish Logan Martin all the time Thanks Again Ben Dziwulski
