making a livewell, need help
hey guys, well we finally got a boat . We got a 1448 all welded tracker. I want to use the boat in an upcoming tournament, but dont have a livewell. I was wondering if you guys had any reccomendations on how to make a livewell to put into my boat. i would prefer if it was not permanent, and preferabbly portable. it needs to be able to keep 5 decent size bass alive (thats the goal at least ) let me know if anyone had any ideas. i was initially thinking about using a cooler and a pump/ arerator from BPS, but dont know how big the cooler should be to keep the fish healthy. Thanks for any input. BEN

are bass cannibals?
YES! my most succesful swimbaits are baby bass imitators. I was reeling in a small bass a couple years ago....and a potential state record (11 pounds) came up and ate my 15 inch bass......it was a sight.......... thats why i started throwing swimbaits

What gets you out on the water?
Finally, we (me and my dad) just purchased a 1448 all welded tracker. We are putting a 55lb thrust MK TM (and we have a 30# thrust for the transom). Finally, i will be able to get out on bigger bodies of water.........

what is your fav. structure to fish and why?
Either i'm crazy, or most people are confusing structure with cover? I always veiwed structure as like an underwater hump or irregularity. And then cover are things that can actually "cover" the bass. Like a laydown- the bass can hide or be out of view from predators/ baitfish/ the sun.......therefore its cover. am I wrong here? BEN

How to convince my dad to get a boat????
Live-2 -Fish Thats one of the main thing that I was worried about. And thats why I'm pretty sure that i will try to go on acedemics, not sports. Because I want fishing to be my #1 sport, not bball. I got a 3.8 this year, but total i'm at 3.9 But next year is my junior year, and thats where it really counts, I hope to do pretty well this and have many accelerated classes. Thanks for the help guys!

How to convince my dad to get a boat????
Yeah, by no means is this just for me, my dad LOVES bass fishing and goes with me whenever he can, but hes taken a likening to these small ponds, and doesnt want to go out on a bigger body of water because there just isnt as much action. I cant work more than a few hours a week....we have football workouts and weightlifting 3-4 days a week. Well i am actually heading to the beach for a week vacation tomorrow (saturday) and I will be doing surf fishing 24x7 with him, and i'm sure i'll have plenty of time to talk to him about possible negotiations. THANKS for all of your support!!! Ben

How to convince my dad to get a boat????
Thanks guys, i agree with all of you. I think I will follow your advice and fix up an old jon boat on my own. I am also possibly going to college for free through basketball, I already have 3 scouting letters, so I'm considering that as a possibility. Thanks for the support, and i'll be sure to let you know how it goes Ben

How to convince my dad to get a boat????
i'm 16, but 17 is close enough Oh forgot to mention that I do work part time for my dad's company, but my dad is making me put it all into a college fund. I am making a lot of money (10 /hr) but he is not letting me keep all of it to start saving for something like a boat. I mean he fishes a lot, and loves to wet a line as much as he can, but he would rather go fish small farm ponds then get a boat and do some real fishing. I work part time about 3-4 days a week for 8-10 hours each day. I guess I should try to convince him that he should let me do what I please with the money I earn? Or maybe I should pursue another job to work at on the days I dont work for his company? i dunno guys?

How to convince my dad to get a boat????
hey guys, just recently we had to return the boat that we had been using for quite some time. It was my uncle's and now he needs it for the crabbing season. My dad is really stubborn with spending money, but with me getting my liscense soon, and starting to get more sponsors- what will I do without a boat??~~~?~?!?!?!!?!?!?!? :-/ Any ideas on how to convince him to get us a boat. The sad thing is, most of the resivoirs are electric only, so we dont even need one with a big old gas engine, just some electric to get us around. Although it would be nice to have a gas engine so that we can fish the Potomac! I'm not trying ot be a spoiled brat, I just know that having a boat would not be a bad thing, I would use it very frequently and it would definantly help me stay on top of my game for the tournaments I fish in. Any suggestions would be great!! BEN GOD BLESS!

Young Jr. Tournament Angler- My life resume
I won my tournament this past sunday, brining home the whopper 30$ check ;D I was using a daiwa alphas ito spooled with 15 lb test Yo-zuri hybrid on a Powell 6'9 heavy action. I threw a weightless tube (mann's hardnose series) with a 4/0 EWG Gama. hook over the tops of matted hydrilla, and focused on little grass points or other slight abnormalities, I won by 4lbs 8 oz I really hope to qualify for the Jr. Classic, as I am already in the State Qualifying Tournament on the Potomac River. BEN GOD BLESS

Young Jr. Tournament Angler- My life resume
Hello all, My name is Ben Dziwulski. I am a 16 year old sophmore (10th grade) from Woodbine, MD. As a freshman, I went to St. John's College-High School on a basketball/ academic scholarship, but had to return to Glenelg High School due to financial situations and distance (1.5 hour drive through DC every morning!). I have fished all my life, and two years ago dedicated myself to pursue a professional fishing carreer. As of now, I fish for the Jr. Proformance Fishing Team. I have fished three of the tournaments this year, and i have finished 3rd, 3rd, and 2nd. By the end of this year I will be on the Maryland State team, and hopefully have an oppertunity to make it to the Junior World Championship. Fishing is not the only thing in my life, and it is not my number one priority. My numero uno- #1, duty is to worship my Lord and savior Jesus Christ. i dedicated my life to serve him in 7th grade. I am extremely involved in my Church's (Grace Community Church) activities and youth ministry. Every Sunday I help out the preschool kid service, then head to my High School service afterwards. Academics: High School GPA so far (9th/ 10th grade): 3.9 High School weighted GPA (factors in G/T or AP classes): 4.3 Sports: MD waves AAU basketball (5th in nationals for 2005) Starting Varsity Basketball (Point Gaurd- 16.7 ppg) Varsity football (running back (1203 yards) and starting DB (8 INTS)) 5 Star Basketball Camp MVP (2003,04,05) I just wanted to put my feelings out there, and hope that things will work out, as they always will according to God's plan whether I like 'em or not, hes always got a plan Potential sponsors please email me at b23ball23fisher@hotmail.com Thanks you for reading, BEN GOD BLESS
