  1. I was wondering if anyone here has ever gone on a trip to a fly-in only lake. As there seems to be tons of places, it would be nice to have some recommendations rather than just looking at websites.
  2. If i didnt have to work and I could fish all the time, I would probably be able to get to a point where I had to stop after a few weeks. But as life is currently structured, no.
  3. I recently went to buy a Worm binder for easier organization of my plastics then the old gallon ziplocks. Well when I looked at the amount of worms, craws, senkos, etc. I would have to hold, it was insanity and I am sure im not even close to the worst offender on these boards. Do you guys ever look over all your plastics and think,"how did I get to this point"? Even worse, I end up using roughly the same 6 combinations of style/color.
  4. PB&J, protein Bar and gallon of Water, I sometimes paddle miles and the last thing I would want is to exhaust with nothing to pick me back up.
  5. I have a good amount of lucky craft lures - not the most expensive, but not cheap either. So Ive seen that premium lures can be worth it. But, when I am walking the aisles at BPS and looking at stuff $20+ and over, I just dont bother because I don't want to end up with an expensive lure that doesnt work. Do you guys just do research, pick things that match your style, or match colors that have been working?
  6. As others have said, when you find something that works that other brands dont make something similiar, stock up. I currently have 14 poppers in a brand that was discontinued by Wal-Mart/Sports Authority three years ago. There is a lake I fish in the northeast that they kill it, and due to the pike in the lake I've lost a lot of them.
  7. Tie direct to the ring.
  8. Simply put, do you prefer large lakes or smaller bodies of water? For me, I don't know anymore. Use to love big lakes, switched to kayak fishing and now I either have a great day or get skunked. Whereas, I seem to be more consistent on smaller bodies of water.
  9. Looks like you're in Alabama. Summer is a tough time in the South. I've been fishing most of my life and I got shut out this weekend. Just keep at it and you will find success.
  10. My girlfriend is from there and says everyone she knows fishes saltwater. But looking at a map there is some water, so maybe you won't have any pressure to deal with.
  11. 60/25
  12. I've often wondered why a little dink bass will hit my Sammys or other larger topwater lures that are bigger than they are.
  13. Check the online status and talked to the representive on the 'Chat' and was told it wasn't there. Ended up going yesterday anyway because Im fishing tonight and tomorrow morning and I figured I would just get something similar. Well check this morning and its Ready to Pick Up. Timing is a B sometimes.
  14. Its been 8 business days, definitely regret not just having it shipped to my house.
  15. Goop. Marine or Original.
