Pike/walleye Fly In Trip?
I was wondering if anyone here has ever gone on a trip to a fly-in only lake. As there seems to be tons of places, it would be nice to have some recommendations rather than just looking at websites.

Do You Guys Ever Need A Break From Fishing?
If i didnt have to work and I could fish all the time, I would probably be able to get to a point where I had to stop after a few weeks. But as life is currently structured, no.

Too Many Plastics?
I recently went to buy a Worm binder for easier organization of my plastics then the old gallon ziplocks. Well when I looked at the amount of worms, craws, senkos, etc. I would have to hold, it was insanity and I am sure im not even close to the worst offender on these boards. Do you guys ever look over all your plastics and think,"how did I get to this point"? Even worse, I end up using roughly the same 6 combinations of style/color.

Expensive Lures - Selection
I have a good amount of lucky craft lures - not the most expensive, but not cheap either. So Ive seen that premium lures can be worth it. But, when I am walking the aisles at BPS and looking at stuff $20+ and over, I just dont bother because I don't want to end up with an expensive lure that doesnt work. Do you guys just do research, pick things that match your style, or match colors that have been working?

Bass Pro Shops Rant I Just Dont Understand It.
As others have said, when you find something that works that other brands dont make something similiar, stock up. I currently have 14 poppers in a brand that was discontinued by Wal-Mart/Sports Authority three years ago. There is a lake I fish in the northeast that they kill it, and due to the pike in the lake I've lost a lot of them.

Big Water Or Small Water Preference?
Simply put, do you prefer large lakes or smaller bodies of water? For me, I don't know anymore. Use to love big lakes, switched to kayak fishing and now I either have a great day or get skunked. Whereas, I seem to be more consistent on smaller bodies of water.

Guess I'm Not A Fisherman...
Looks like you're in Alabama. Summer is a tough time in the South. I've been fishing most of my life and I got shut out this weekend. Just keep at it and you will find success.

Ri Bassing
My girlfriend is from there and says everyone she knows fishes saltwater. But looking at a map there is some water, so maybe you won't have any pressure to deal with.

Bass Eats A Bass
I've often wondered why a little dink bass will hit my Sammys or other larger topwater lures that are bigger than they are.

Check the online status and talked to the representive on the 'Chat' and was told it wasn't there. Ended up going yesterday anyway because Im fishing tonight and tomorrow morning and I figured I would just get something similar. Well check this morning and its Ready to Pick Up. Timing is a B sometimes.

Do You Fish Alone Or With A Buddy?
Given an option out of anything, I prefer to be out there with my dad. I also like going with my girlfriend that I introduced to the sport. Her excitement over catching a bass is unbeatable. Other than those two, alone. That way if I feel inclined to stay out for 5,6,7 hours, I don't have to worry about how anyone else feels about it.

Getting Skunked? Try Ned.
I've actually just turned the bait and put the jig hook back into the TRD like you would hook any other worm weedless. Just get it as straight as possible. It still worked and picked up almost no weeds.

Decline In Fishing?
I agree with most posters that there just isn't a lot of youth coming into the sport. I am only 26 and I only know 2 people my age that get out there regularly. Its kind of sad, but at the same time, i can look forward to less pressured fish. Now if only we can find a way to get Jet skiing, wakeboarding, and any other type of boating with a loud radio to decline as well.

Catching The Wrong Species
I recall a time that I was throwing a Musky spinner bait on heavy gear all day while my father was just fishing for smallies with 10lb test and a Creme worm. He ends up hooking a 10lb muskie in the side of the mouth in open water and got it in. Right Fish, Wrong Fisherman.

Lc Pointer Color Advice
Hey Yall, I've had a lot of success with LC Sammys. Initially I was skeptical about the price until I got one for 3$ at a fishing flea market and I have about 10 Sammys now. I want to start using the LC Squarebills and Pointers, but since LC has what seems like 1000 different colors I want to see what colors others are using. Appreciate the help.

Finally Got My Mount! With Pics
That looks amazing. Also tip my hat to using a Replica, that bass will sire many more lunkers in that lake.

Catching Bass Chasing Schooling Threadfin
Thanks for the advice everyone, got a few new approaches. I put down my carolina rig that was producing a little when they started coming up. I tend to outthink myself sometimes.

Catching Bass Chasing Schooling Threadfin
Hello all, So last night from right before dark until I left because I couldn't see the bass were hammering the surface and stirring up huge schools of Threadfin. I know this becasue I found a dead one floating. The cove I was in was probably about 100 yards long with 65 of those yards covered in the minnow schools frantically surfacing and dashing. With the amount of surface strikes I could see and hear from bass, I figured I would kill it. However, I threw multiple Sammy's, Poppers, Spinnerbaits, and an off color crankbait (Didn't have a Sexy Shad crank in the Kayak). I had a bump on the spinnerbait and thats it. Its pretty demoralizing to be surrounded by that many feeding bass and not kill it. Can anyone provide some insight or technique on what they do in this circumstance? Or is it possible that the bass have so many real minnows around that artificial baits just won't attract them. I appreciate the assistance yall.

Weatherman Says "chance Of Thunderstorm"
I've remained on a lake and see a tree get struck on shore because the bite just kept going. I tend to push things a bit far though. The older I get the quicker it seems I pack it in. But, I won't call the day off for a "chance" unless I get to the launch and its already lightening.
